Japanese Si-Fi films with model tanks
Greetings Tankers
I find myself rewatching old Japanese Si-Fi flicks just to see the model military equipement.
My favorite is the original "Rodan" 1956.
Lots of tanks moving through the city.
Great stuff for being 50 years old.

Strangely enough I am a bit nostalgic for those old films too, and the miniatures that got clobbered by the men in the monster suits.
They took great pains to construct those miniature little cities (most were Tokyo, weren't they?) and I was held in awe with their building skills. I knew they were corny when I watched them as a kid but I was still fascinated by the little tanks and cars.

Wrong country. Since these are Japanese movies we will have to stomp on Tamiyas. Besides, their realism will look so much better when crushed under Godzilla's feet. [sm=thumbup.gif]

You know ...all kidding aside just watch the models.
Scaleing from the man in the monster suit probebly 1/24th.
Great detail for wire and remote tanks.
No bouncing or jerking ,just smooth action.
As I said ,nice modeling for 50 year old movie.

I agree mate but remember they only have a $2.00 budget and tender feet so a cheep easy to break HL is just what they need.
