Gorehound reporting for duty.

Credentials

4 HL Tiger 1
2 HL Pershing
1 King Tiger (Well it is an old Tam that had knackerd internals so I stuck a HL S&S inside it - goes well though ) (PS. Don't rat me out to the Tamiya Battalion [8D])
1 WSN T34
3 21st Stuarts (I need to cut down)
And as of 2 hours ago a 1:9 Abrams

Plus 1 Tam tank but we will not mention that here.

Personally, I think Tamiya will have to sit up and take a bit of notice of peoples buying trends soon or they will end up playing second fiddle to HL or some other company who come into the RC tank market just as they now have to do in the 1:35 scale market thanks to Dragon (and in the not too distant future Trumpeter)

One yes only one HL Tiger, at the moment in the Panzer workshop undergoing fielsd mods, have extended the gun barrel, and flipped the mantlet, removed that 'orrible red led that lights up when ya fire a bb ( wish it had a blank firer instead ) removed the pistol port, and the commanders cupola for correct positioning. Might just have to cut the stowage bins down too as they are allllll wrong dudes !!!

Well, maybe you can rig up a sound device like this one: http://www.ramrcandramtrack.com/ramd...am_81demo.html

A bit overkill perhaps (A 16" naval gun) but it would replace the BB shooter with a nice big sound...

OK OK, I know that I am not supposed to post. I own Tamiya tanks, but I had to read the posts on this topic. I was curious as to what was being said. I must admit, I am impressed with the pics and posts. I think that the HL tanks are very sharp. I looks as though you can personalize them yourself and maybe able to put in upgrades too. I would pound around with a HL any day with my Tamiya King Tiger. We are all tankers regaurdless of brand name, right?
