Coming Soon...
Seems the 1/16 RC tank/AFV world is ever expanding. I've compiled a short list of stuff that should be available to us within the year or so:
Matorro Sturmtiger
Matorro King Tiger
Trumpeter/WSN Tiger I
Xion SdKfz 222/223
And of course the Tamiya Panther of which we're already aware.
I'm quite stoked about the Matorro Königstiger to be honest. Finally a 1/16 behemoth within my grasp or one I can easily justify purchasing. [8D]
Picks and info found within this lengthy [link=http://www.rc-panzerketten-forum.com/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=7404&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=0&page=1]thread[/link].
Therein you will find pictures of the Matorro Königstiger prototype. And [link=http://www.rc-panzerketten-forum.com/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=7654]HERE[/link]. Nice.

RE: Coming Soon...
Thanks for the post! In a way it kind of sucks that HL quality is probably getting better. I enjoyed stripping down my Pershing and rebuilding it. On the other hand, this is good news for people who want to go right out of the box. I guess it is how you look at it.

Amuro,
If you want to drive them hard, there are ALWAYS going to be things to repair, or modify
Does not matter if HL or Tamiya..... us tankers will alyway find a way to "over-stress" something.

There will always be corrections or enhancements to be made. I have yet to see a Chinese made military model that was totally correct. Then of course, a must is to bend the sheet metal, add dings and dirt, crew item stowage ...etc

RE: Coming Soon...
I can live with the well known HL type electronics, or replace it.....Anyway my boards/transmitters/diverse stock has become somewhat "important" ...

RE: Coming Soon...
Likewise.
I was thinking of making the Tamiya KT my first Tamiya, but with the MatoTorro KT, I now expect it to be the Sherman... unless HL or MT come up with one of those! That'd be ideal as I'd love to make an M10 conversion, but no way I'm "trashing" a £500 Tamiya to do it.

Replacement plastic for the Tamiyas is pretty reasonable. It's the electronics that cost a fortune. Plus, with a Sherman, you might be able to swap a Sherman uppper deck with the M10 - Two for the price of one!
Check this out - one of our club members did an M-10 conversion.
