ACE or NEAD are your local clubs. I have tried to contact ACE but nada. Also this is best place to keep checking on the up coming events.

We are a radio control tank modelling hobby group, building, running and playing laser-tag styled games between teams of
opposing tanks. As of current status we primarily play on Tamiya 1/16th scale tanks, but interests in other scales and formats, such as Heng Long IR, VS Tanks, are welcome. Our meets are monthly (where possible) and we play our infrared games at locations all over Singapore!

Default RE: RC Tank Clubs

I was looking into getting into the hobby possibly with the Tamiya 1/16 tanks/Battle system. I currently do not own a tank but would be interested getting one if there was some people near by to battle with. As far as I know there is Zero clubs in Ohio and the closest play I seen was in Detroit "Detroit place looks Very Nice!" but it's about 3.5hrs from me and would be a bit to long of a drive to battle Bi-weekly or when ever they battle. So if your in the area and was also thinking about getting into the tank battling hobby let me know,Maybe we can get some people together and form a small club? So leave a reply,PM, Or shoot me a email [email protected] Thanks!

I've had some major medical issues over the past year and a half. But Daryl Turner and myself are meeting tomorrow night to hang out, have some great New Haven style pizza and go over what we need to do to get ACE going in a good direction. Hope to see some of you again soon.

We've also condensed our members to mainly the east coast, but all are welcome !

Default Northern California , Bay Area ?

Seems the local clubs are no more, BAT and Kelleys Heroes seem to have either stopped meeting or on hiatus . anyone in the East Bay interested in RC tanks? I am new to the hobby and would just like to meet locals, discuss and learn RC from them. See some cool tanks etc
I have 2 1/16 tigers 1 running and one a project.
Total rookie to this hobby but would love to learn more.
Cheers Mark

Hey Greg,
Funny, my name is Greg too!
I am near you, just over by Five Island Lakes, Hubley.
So whats your story? I just got into this hobby and got 4-Taigens (all BB, but thinking about getting an IR, saw no need for IR initially as no one to battle with). Got all my gear online as I know of no shop in NS dealing with tanks.
I work at Dalhousie which keeps me busy during the weeks, but weekends the tanks come out.

Well I started with 1/24 scale VS tanks and forces of valor. I have over 30 in this scale, all but 1 are IR. I have WSN T34, a Taigen airsoft tiger which I have been trying to convert to IR, and a Heng long IR stug.
My 7 year old son and I have battles now and then. I would someday like to build a battlefield and have some g scale buildings and props if I ever get the time. I work in the city as well and usually have weekends off perhaps we can meet up some time and see what we can come up with. I should have some free time this weekend if it works for you.

We primarily do Tamiya infra red tank battles with the TBS or compatable (DBU/ELmod) 1/16 tank systems. You are welcome to bring any other RC vehicle you have. I anticipate several 1/24 FOV or VS tank as well. We will also have Heng Long IR tganks there to do battle as well. In April we had over 25 tanks on the battlefield and a tank recovery truck and M16 halftrack. You need not have an IR equipped tank or any tank at all to attend. I will gladly loan anyone capable one of my IR tanks to try in battle. I will announce the exact location in a day or two. I'm sure all will have a good time. We will have a nice lunch (bring some cash or brown bag it) and there will be door prizes. Bring anything RC you wish to buy, sell, show or trade too. Call the club number if you have any questions.

There is more info on our site...here is the link http://groups.yahoo.com/group/queenspanzergroup/

I'm from Momence, IL. I have a HL 1:24 scale type 90, it's nice to see another chicago area tanker and I'm probably the only one in the county.
