Seems like there are quite a few people in Florida with tanks, but they are all spread out. Anyone get anything going in the central Florida area? I'm just north of Daytona Beach.

We have a sizable contingent in Ontario... International Can-Am R/C Tank Club.
You could ask YHR, he is out in Grand Prairie region, he may know some your way.
You could also maybe look at http://www.calgaryrc.com/

Evening,
Looking to see if there are any clubs still functioning in the Mid-Atlantic region in the US? I am about an hour north of Philly.
From what I can find the clubs that were functioning in my area either have shut down websites or haven't posted anything in awhile?
Regards

I'm curious. After a several month hiatus from building anything or really doing anything in the hobby
due to an unintentional detour ( don't ask) I am wondering if there are any club activities in the SF Bay Area?
Once home to Bay Area Tankers and Kelly's Heroes and before those my own Armor Group West( now simply a website)
has there been any successor club that I've not heard of?

The N.E.A.D. tank club is based in North NJ/NYC area. Bob Held was the last current leader of the club. I am/was a member. I am located in central NJ ten too fifteen minutes from Trenton.

Treadheads, In the Dublin area I think. They meet for the makers faire but don't think they battle, I work Saturdays so haven't had the chance to meet up with them.
I for one would love to hook up with some folks from time to time to. I have so much to learn and having someone who knows RC ropes would help. If anyone wants to start a group I would happily help.
Cheers Mark

Jerry, As far as I can tell there aren't really any groups active in the Bay Area. I know a guy named Seth has a group called

No one acknowledged or could agree that the top priority was to find a home running ground, at least a semi-permanent running ground. Much wasted energy with pizza parlor club meets
initially and after the successor clubs depended on backyard venues all of it came to naught. Make no mistake there were great folks who supported the club from their homes/yards
but it was in the stars that it couldn't last; I knew I'd never do that. The late stages of the two clubs depended on Jacques Littlefield's generosity to host certain events on his property
but that all disappeared with his death and it wasn't overly convenient.
Finding an available space that could be molded into what a club needs that isn't someone's backyard is the greatest issue. With land here worth nearly thousands a square meter
in some locations we'd have better luck finding a unicorn. The only way I'd get involved is if the club began with a patch of dirt to call home...

On Facebook check out
- L.A.Tank (at the Armor Museum in South El Monte)
-San Diego RC Tank Battles
I’ve been meaning to get the old S.C.A.T. Site back up..... kinda tough without a home battlefield.

You have any decent hobby shops over there, with some one who at least knows what an r/c tank is? Slots and dirt track cars dominate here.
