Default Heng Long Factory Photos

If anyone's interested in seeing where a lot of your RC tanks come from, I posted a photo album in the armornuts group site today of Heng Long's factory from a recent visit I made to Shantou.

[link=http://ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/armornutsrcarmorhut/photos/browse/7991?c=]Heng Long Factory Photos[/link]

Sorry, I wasn't allowed to take photos in their R&D room, but they do have a lot of work ongoing as has been already mentioned earlier here already. Didn't see any signs of a Sherman but who knows what the Chinese Santa may bring down the road.

I do have to say after seeing their staff, they should consider coming out with a 2008 Girls of Heng Long calendar - am certain it would sell very well throughtout the community!

Enjoy -

Chuck

Glad you guys are enjoying the show.

Give me a day & I'll upload them to my site since I have over 58mb of files to load & it will probably take some time with my slow DSL connection.

Check out the Yahoo site if you can. If not, they should be up later today since I'm 12 hours ahead of you here in China.

I forgot to mention the workers toil 10/7 & only get off during Chinese national holidays. Wendy typically would be at the office from 0800-2000 each day. All for 1800rmb ($240) per month.

Even eye candy & toy tanks can get awefully old at that rate. And don't forget about that lead paint risk!!! [sm=confused_smile.gif][sm=omg_smile.gif]

Actually, lead paint is not a worry of the workers in the HL factory. From the photo, they are putting on the tow cable onto Tiger 1, and the volatile and agressive solvent is used to glue those cable on, however, no ventilation or whatsoever can be seen. I just worry after soon or later, they become solvent adict. []

P.S. The RC tank seems like a man-only hobby, this is my first time to see so many women tinkering around RC tank. So lovely.

Wow,the girl sitting infront of the stack of boxes and reaching for the Tiger with her left hand is a real cutie.

I think the calender idea is a corker.

We could get'em to call it "HL Tanker's Pals",you know like the Pilot's Pals ones that surface now and then. That's all hot cuties draped over jet fighters.

Give me another hour guys & I'll have the photos up on Logan's site.

I have a lot that I didn't post of HL's showroom as well including their new gas powered buggy & truck line that I'll put up as well.

Sorry, none of the super secret stuff in the works like their IR combat series.

I'll try to get around this evening of adding captions under the photos on the IMPACT site.

For your information, HL's boss believes his future is in their new gas powered buggy & truck line, not tanks. That has been the main reasons you are only seeing one new release per year.

They are working on a new IR Combat System that their future tank releases are going to be based around. The Stug may very well be the last airsoft tank you see from them, but who knows...
