     I love my bulldog and after reading all the posts I love her more.
How do you think about comparing the running ability between bulldogs and panzer3 or4(HL) ?
My one could not do the spin turn on grass(plastic tracks&gearboxes)

Ihave a elmod Pershing. Never thought of adding weight to it on the front but it works!! Much better climbing. I am now figuring how much to add with trial and error. Geat looking Bulldog. I think I will get one next. Thanks for sharing.

M41A3 is a good looking tank to me, nearby my house is a millitary camp of which the bulldogs are there even now they still in use,
But I hope they 'll stay peacefully in the camp coz every times they came out it means COUP.

Over the past few days I've been cycling tanks into the motor pool for inspection and overhaul. The Bulldog arrived behind the Panther and was disassembled and the road wheels were removed from the spindles.

Whoa! The spindles are plum wore out! Some didn't even have plastic all the way around anymore, the screw was exposed. What screw? The one that kept the inner wheel on; the hub wore off leaving the screw attached to the spindle!

Do I spend hours and hours fabricating new spindles or just buy another lower hull and paint it up? It's a knock around tank for the kids to play with and since 2006 it has nearly 200 hours on it. I replaced the M26A1s wheels much sooner (about 100 hours) but that tank's spindles were just fine.

Besides a fellow on ebay, anyone know someone or have a spare brand new Bulldog lower hull with wheels for sale? Or should I order some brass tube and rod and get busy?

Try Mato for the lower hull.  Or, if you do the tubing (assuming ball bearings, too), post the how-to for the rest of us.

Do you reglue the road wheels together when you put them back on?

No rinse. We were too busy that year! Shortly after that the tank went to Danville, Virginia, North Carolina and a month later to Tennessee. When taken apart the other day there was a salt line on the hull just above the road wheels and seaweed dried around the roller mounts.
