Outstanding figures and photography. Well done. Perfect attitude for the saw gunner with the peace symbol, my favorite! John

I started way back in 2000. First of, I'm a sucker for modelling for 1/35th armor. Then I found this 1/24 HL Japanese Type 90 and never looked back. Since then I have the following...

1/24 HL JDF Type 90 MBT -Airsoft
1/24 HL Leopard 2A5 -Airsoft
1/24 Vs Tank Pro M1A2 Abrams - Desert Camo - Airsoft
1/24 Vs Tank Pro M1A2 Abrams - tri-Nato camo - Sparkling
1/16 HL Tiger Non-S&S
1/16 HL M26 Pershing
1/16 WSN T34/85
1/12 Hailang M1A2 Abrams

Planning on getting the Matorro KT and HL Panzer 3 next.

Oh please tell me about the FOA Tiger I!!! That is one of my next projects. I'm going to get mine here: http://www.r-c-tanks.com/
It seems there is no suspension with the kit itself. Did you upgrade the suspension system ( like r-c-tanks has)? What about the drive system, what do you use/where did you get it? Does your Tiger have a traversing turret (if so where did you get it)? If you could please give me information on your build I'd appreciate it!!

Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Pzjgr, Take a look at my gallery. there are some key pics of my FOA. The suspension, well, I ordered the upgraded susp. but was not impressed with it, too many large holes to cut in the hull. So, I found someone else had figured out a more realistic design, so I followed it. If you want any more info, let me know. Dima

I own just 1 HL Tiger tank stock except the suspension has been reinforced with brass spigots and 2 L-Bars. I have been looking at tank stuff for months, planning (in fantasy land) on how great my next Tiger will be. I am giddy with excitement, aber habe ich kein geld

I just joined this group this afternoon. I got my first tank yesterday and put it together. Got it off E Bay. A 2.4Ghz 1/16 US M1A2 Abrams RC Tank Upgrade Super Metal w/Smoke & Sound RTR. I guess the wheels are metal. Being maybe aluminium drive wheels, I’m not sure. RTR is not all that accurate. Had to add many parts in bags onto the tank to finish it. The liquid for smoke leaked all over everything in it's bag. I cannot believe it has a diesel sound. How do I change it to the turbofan sound we know the real Abrams has? I’m reading the boards. I know I have a lot to catch up reading to do. I’ve been driving it up and down the driveway to get the feel for RC transmitter. I guess I will have to put out cones or something to practice being the tank commander of my new tank. Thank you All for allowing me to become part of the fold here. With all the other hobbies I have this may be my only tank….. for a while. I do want to know how to set it up for tank battling as they do in Danville Virginia. Anyone else here from the coast of Virginia that may like to help this newbie out with my education on this adventure in tanks. Thanks again.

First, start a new thread for this. Maybe "New guy gets an Abrams".

You'll get plenty of help from very experienced and knowledgeable guys, but doing it here is called "hijacking the thread".

And welcome to the hobby. You won't have just one tank for long.

Can you take photos or video of your Abrams? That's always helpful.

I'm sorry. I had no intent to hijack any post. I guess it is best I just "read the mail" and learn from others and keep my mouth shut. My first post and already I've made 'friends'.

No worries, Bubba, nobody's mad at you, and we don't want you to keep your mouth shut. We want to hear what you have to say, just in the right place. Go ahead and start a thread. It's easy, and a lot more guys will take a look at your new thread than will look at this old dinosaur.

The "welcome aboard" really is sincere from all these guys. So start that thread, and let's get to work.

BubbaJePH, my name is Rudy and I am a Tank Aholic. We have a 12 step program called TA, Tankaholics Anonymous, but no one goes to the meetings anymore. I have a Panzer III L, 3 Stug III G's, 1 Panzer IV, Jagdpanzer IV L/70, parts for a Panther A, Panther G, Jagdpanther, Tiger I Early, parts for a Late Tiger I, Tiger II Henschel, and a Tiger II Porsche. Alll 1/16 scale. I also have a 1/8 scale Tiger II Henschel and a 1/6 scal Stuart. Yep, I need to get back on the wagon!!!! Nobody is gonna hate you here, so yes you have made some new Tanken buddies. Your wife or girl friend should be glad you are not out with your drinken buddies!!!!
