I can't wait for spring to start up the 5 tank battles again. The neighborhood kids absolutely love them.

Hi folks. I recently purchased a Abrams tank and looking forward to the Sherman. Is there any information or pics besides the VS website? Most of the dealers say Late December for ordering, so does anyone have an insider?

The statement on the Vstank website was a bit cryptic. I have been focusing on the Moderns over the last year, but with the KVs and Shermans coming out, I plan on getting more.

So far I am pleased with thier performance. I know they are not Tamiya quality and lack some of the features that you can get with a TBU or 1/16 HL with DBU, but the fun factor is still there and they are affordable.

This is my first RC tank and I've really enjoyed it. I really like the Tiger I early model Gray, so this may be my next and wait for the Sherman. Decisions, decisions.

Here's my latest Vs Tank. It was originally a Snow Tiger.

Nice Tiger. A VsTank Winter Tiger, airsoft, is due to arrive on my doorstep tomorrow. I was interested in going with the 1/16 scale but decided to initially go with the VsTank after reading about the potential issues with a Heng Long. I'd rather start out with something I can run rather than something I may have to tinker with. It'll be my first tank. Well... not quite. Anyone remember the old Remco Bulldog from the '60s? I had one as a kid and remember having a blast with it. Guess I'm looking forward to reliving my childhood, only with advanced features.

I've looked through the pictures in the photo section. Something is not right - It seems that there is not much difference in barrel size between the 75mm Sherman and the 105mm version.

Shouldn't the barrel size of the 75mm version be visibly thinner ? See Below for comparison.

Hi Shenlonco,

I'm correct. According to the images in the Vstank Website, the longer barrel is supposed to be the 75mm because it is an anti-tank gun. The 105mm barrel is shorter because it is a howitzer. Pls see the annotations in the pictures below to clarify this:

http://www.vstank.com/info/img_news.asp

But regardless of what, my main point is this - Why are the barrel sizes for both the Vs Sherman 75mm and the Vs Sherman 105mm similar? That doesn't make the 75mm version look scale-like at all. []

I think it is due to the size of these tanks. They are small and they are designed to shoot pellets. The gun have to accommodate the size of the pellets tats y [8D]

Yeah, to work with a 6mm projectile, some scale has to be tweaked. Vs is using 6mm BBs in guns equipped with 75, 105, 120 and 135mm guns - and all need to have the same bore.

It looks like some of their models (KV-2) have rubber tracks while others have plastic. Why is this?

Hi i think because in the future metal tracks will be the hop up items no longer plastic linked tracks.

Well I received the Winter Tiger today. Unfortunately, the airsoft function doesn't work. It fires air and recoils but no BB's come out of the barrel. I've tried recycling the power to no avail. Loading and reloading the BB's didn't help. It just doesn't want to fire the BB's.

I got the VsTank instead of a Heng Long in hopes of getting something without a hassle. No luck there. Looks like I've got a "return to sender." []

Mine has developed the same fault. I suspect a BB has become jammed somewhere.

vsTank people - are the BBs that are supplied with the vsTanks the same the as BBs supplied with 1/16 HLs? I may have mixed them up which could explain the jam.

Hi everyone. When I got my vs tiger one, I had the same problem of not firing. What I did was take apart the turret and the bb's were getting hung up just before the dropped into the breech. A little filing and re-alignment and no more problems. Regards, JZ
