yep, their looks to be a lump inside the peice with a bubble or cavity next to it, the two combined must have made a weak spot from where it snapped

You could try JB Weld as a temporary measure. I repaired a main sprocket/ 3:1 g/box shaft with it and I was amazed with its strength. Other Tam owners might be able to point you in the right direction for replacement parts? Can you not e-mail Tamiya about a spare part?

Good Luck.

thanks, if i cant find a replacement on the internet will phone / e-mail tamya and get one from them. the trouble with welding it is that it is a mixed metal part, with different alloy's and tins ect. so that makes sticking it back together hard

will see if any other tamiya owners know of where to get a replacement.

thanks thesungoesdown,

Matt

JB weld is a resin style glue that say's it can be drilled and tapped and may work as a temporary solution
Have you tried the blueslatesman on Evil-bay?? for the part

Shame about the snapped piece Matt. I would be darned angry if i were u! [:@] Just a shame i don't have the money to get a Tamy as I would love to build my own tank, a panther G to be precise! I mean even getting a fully upgraded Matotrro King Tiger from Blitz at only £200 pounds (great deal) ultamuitly rest on what happens on my 16th birthday!
But anyway i'm ramberling Great job keep it up.

Hey Matt. Who did you get it from? Contact Tamiya and tell them the problem, I'm sure they can send you another one out.

From the Tamiya website it looks like only the Panther arms are the same. The Tiger 1 has a different part#.

I still think he needs to contact Tamiya and let them know where and when he bought it from so they can send a new one out.

I agree. Tamiya has been good at replacing the couple of defective parts I have encountered.

i'm not sure the Panther arms are the same either. The Jag And Panther even have different part #'s for the road wheel axels so be careful. Also Mat In my set up guide it sais speciffically NOT TOO HOOK UP THE FLASH UNIT While doing setup. IT is a very high current discharge. It may be interferring with it du too some elctromagnetic mumbo jumbo.

Yuo should try Karen at AAF. You most likely will have to get the whole set of suspention arms. I dont think anyone has or will sell just one unless you can find somebody that is kit bashing sometghing. As far as getting it quick i'm afraid you may be out of luck ther. Even AAF has to get the stuff from Tamiya and most of the stuff is out of stock from factory or back ordered. Just a produckt of the poularity of the Panther/ Jag now.

When I ordered the pershing arms they only cost $12.00 something per bag of left or right from Tamiya so it should not be much more for the jagdpanther parts .

Thanks
Jimmy

I just rechecked the Tamiya site, here is the part # 9400595 1 RC Suspension Arm Bag: 56022 it is the same for both the Jag and the Panther. If it was me I would just contact Tamiya. It will probably take the same amount of time, but it will be free. That is the beauty of warranties.

Yeah, you're right. I bet it's not the first time it's happened.
