RE: Tamiya Jagdpanther
I checked my Panther parts list also ans your correct they both take the same susp. arm but they do take different axels. Not sure why but they clearly have different PN's.

YES IT IS!!! Just give Tamiya your transaction/item number and the dealer's name and there will be no problems!! Been there, done that! Besides, this is a failure of a part problem, not a missing part.
Enjoy your vacation!

Lower left hand side are your choices. Since I'm in the states I usually just call them.

This is the downside of buying internationally. Should the English distributor, who didn't make a dime off the transaction, spend their time supporting a client of a Hong Kong vendor? Not trying to be mean, but that is part of what you pay for when you buy domestically. Don't know what Tamiya UK's policy is, but if you try to take a "gray market" Nikon to Nikon USA they will not service it. Even if you offer to pay, they will not look at it - they are that aggressive in protecting their US distributors.
The UK guys might be cool, but don't be surprised if they don't help
Tamiya should just sell direct from their website(s). They could limit it to the "high end" stuff the distributors don't stock or sell at a reasonable price....... now the problem, who would determine what is "reasonable"?

RE: Tamiya Jagdpanther
right, some good news and some bad news to share,
the bad news is that so far i have not been able to get a replacement part
however the good news is that i may have a reliable solution to fixing it!

RE: Tamiya Jagdpanther
ahhh, sorry forgot to mention the solution,
so far i have a drilled a very small hole through the broken off part, and the main susspention arm, and have found a small strong metal pin to fit the hole. next going to JB (was posted from evil-bay while on hol) the peices to together and the pin inside, therefore making it all the more stronger! if it holds out (which im sure it will) i will still try to get another part, just in case!
thanks, hope this ma come in hany to some of you!
cheers,
Matt

RE: Tamiya Jagdpanther
That's really odd that you can't get the main gun and the machine gun to work. So it's either or? Congrats on fixing the suspension arm. Can't wait to see the pics of your Jagdpanther.

i can either get the machine gun to fire to work
With Gun Elevation Stick trim Full Up, on of the two should work. With the trim Full Down, the other should fire.
Also be sure that all the Trims are set to neutral when configuring the radio.
Good Luck

RE: Tamiya Jagdpanther
The reason im not really doing it in order is because at the moment i have no plastic glue, will be getting some on saturday.
Next i fitted the metal plate in to bottom with the plastic bits around the main drive sprocet and then the gearboxes:

Do yourself a favor and don't use tube glue!!
A liquid cement like Ambroid Pro Weld is much better, faster drying time and lasts much longer than ordinary tube glue. That is, for plastic on plastic assembly.
