They had a Dragon 1/35 Crusader box in their RD lab so I'd bet thats what you'll see as one of the new IR tanks. Comet had been mentioned earlier but I didn't see any evidence of that when I was last there.

Any mention of the KV-1, Bill?

I would get a chally 2 in a heartbeat, but since its not earlier than a comet, I think its a crusader too

Haven't seen anything except WW2 subjects under development while at HL. Must be something about having far too many German & Russian customers eager to relive the Battle of Kursk.

Wackywheelz: I know what you mean! It's my favorite modern tank!

Herrmill: Maybe in the future..... perhaps..... it would be nice for those who have the Leo to have some company in the modern setting...

It could only be a crusader if they have totally redesigned and miniaturized the airsoft system or they are only offering the IR system. The turret is just too small.
The Cromwell could accomodate both though.

I would much prefer the Cromwell (in Normandy, with the Hedgerow Cutter), the DAK boys may want the Crusader though....

Looks like a "win win" situation for all of us with the Cromwell and the Crusader.

A matilda would be good actually. Small turret, again though, but HL seem to be moving beyond the airsoft gimick in which case it shouldn't be a problem.

I hope they don't start producing modern tanks. I find them boring and samey [:'(] There's something about ill-designed tin cans that makes them more interesting to me.

How about an Italian M39? Now THAT would be interesting

No hard dates yet. The Sherman, Jag and ?? seem to be in about the same stage so I would assume we'll see all of them by the end of the year.

I'd love a Cromwell too, but don't get too disappointed if it's a Firefly. And why not? Even though it's a Sherman variant, it's still a uniquely British tank. And it's one of the few Allied armor that the Germans feared.

And HL has a history of re-using chassis, like the Stug and...*cough*Pantiger*cough*

Very true, and that makes me wonder why they have not just reworked the Pantiger in to a decent Panther, instead of sticking with the current abortion....

Because if they did, then no one will buy their Pantiger anymore.

What a great Holiday it would be then!

HL ought to put out more using the PIII and especially the PIV chassis. There's a lot of variants to be used.

True! Although I think if this rumored new HL turns out to be a Vickers tankette I think I'll pass....

What about a M3 Grant tank? It uses the Sherman bottom and running gear.

I hope HL makes a British tank and doesn't cop out and make a Firefly instead. No offense to the Firefly of course, but it was a modified American tank, not home grown British.

If HL makes a British tank then I would guess it would make a Crusader and use the hull and suspension to also make a Cromwell.[X(] I wouldn't mind that too much, in fact very little.

Sorry HL, a Firefly just wont do, its not a British tank, imo.
