Shenlonco it is a great spot and it gets our hobby some exposure, being right there in the community park!
Philipat, If you open up your tank you will see that there is a 1/4 inch or so flat spot on your turret gear ring! I have seen pictures where guys took theres out and carefully filed them down to make the flat spot into gear teeth! Well that is basically what I did, but I just eye balling it with a dremil, you do want to be careful because if you screw if up its hard to get those ring gears! The teeth on mine are not exactly perfect but it rolls right past them no problem you just get it a even as possible, and its good enough! On my loaner tanks I leave the stop on them or else the rookie driver will keep cylcling the trurret around until it rips the wire![X(]
My Pershing is all stock, well fan added but plastic gears, tracks and it doesn't have the Booming sound of my King Tiger but I feel just as confident going into battle with it as I do the EL MOD KT[sm=shades_smile.gif]

So, then you didn't do any mods to allow it to spin 360 indefinitely? It sounds like you're relying your memory to bring it back to center and untwist the wires.

It does sound that way Philip, and that is the easiest way. Here's a link to an alternative where the wires swivel using a phone jack. I bought the parts but never did this mod because you can only run five wires using the phone jack. If you include the machine gun LED wires there are seven going to the turret and I opted to leave the machine gun LED workable and installed a laser for an aiming device. If you don't care about losing the LED in the turret this seems to be a pretty simple fix. I think if you read the thread there's a youtube link that shows it in action.

Yep memory and servicing, I open up all my tanks periodically to check inside especially, if I have been running them hard or in a a lot of loose dirt and leaves!
The Phone jack would not work for me I have about 12 wires going up to the turret with the battle system and antenna in correct spot!
