RE: Tamiya 1/16 Panther G Finished
I use acrylics from walmart...nice and cheap and can afford to keep multitudes of colors on hand. I started using them for all my foamie planes so as to not melt the foam. So far i've been painting all my tanks with them too and they seem to be remarkably durable as well. Once dry i usually have to use some sort of cleanser to remove them. Thier great for washes beacause of the water thinning and the method you mention is how i did my chips. I guess i just need more practice...i will be studying your pics intently when i redo my tiger!
SoulAssassin...im heading to evilbay as we speak to see if i can find a bargain as well.
thanks all

With xmas here it's still out of the budget, but maybe someone else will find it helpful

I love this Panther and you have done an outstanding job on the painting and weathering, however in my humble opinion, I feel that the markings need toning down in keeping with the rest of the weathered paint work. To me they look out of keeping with the rest of the tank
