Default Hi guys, new to the hl thing...need help

I've had my tiger for all most two weeks and i'm hooked. i did the break in thing, added a fan.
all has good til i went to cut the antenna wire to add length. now its not responding properly so i put it back together
still not responding to the start button? am i part of the blown-board club?[]
its weird i can get it respond to shooting and moving the tracks but its in and out.

any suggestion?[sm=confused.gif] thank you cheers

I've been in RC for a loooong time and I've always thought that cutting an antenna wire was a no-no. I'm a first time tank owner and I got my HL Tiger about the same time you did. I've also got mine apart already. Just curiour, why would you want to add length to the antenna wire? Moving it to the turret? Did you find anything wrong when you opened you Tiger up? I found loose, missing screws and a bad gear. Im waiting for an upgraded gearbox with machined steel gears. Welcome to the wonderful adiction......I mean hobby.

yeah cutting the antenna probably not a good idea. but i wanted to move to the correct location and shorten the exterior antenna.

so... i can turn the tank on with the recoil button (K) and it shuts off with the start button?? uh?
and all that will only work if i leave the smoke machine off. if i don't it cuts in and out and i don't have control.

i did try the forum search can't find anything.

i appreciate any help
thanks

Huummm, maybe when you went to cutting the antenna you pulled it loose from the solder joint on the reciever. Another thing to look at is the connection to the exterior antenna. That might be loose. It sounds to like you have another problem, like a intermittent ground. Just do a careful inspection of your wiring and I'm sure you'll solve it.
