[sm=tongue_smile.gif]Stop pushing the K button[sm=tongue_smile.gif],otherwise I think you have to go with a Darktih DBC, Someone in Europe is selling jst a module to block the recoil, but heck for twice the price you can get a complete battle system from Darkith,

Get in touch with Phil at RCTankwars. He eliminated that and the "Super Spin" on my Tiger

Or also look at this site under "Zubehör-Elektronik". The "Platine ARM-02" stops the recoil.

Hi

Just got one of these "Platine ARM-02" items from Modelbau and wired it up. Ordered it on the 4th and it arrived on the 8th so rally good service from them. Fitted it to my Tamiya Tiger I static kit that I am putting HL electonics into with an RX18 setup and it works perfectly and stops all recoil of the hull. Relatively easy to install once I translated the German instructions - my German really is poor []

The only tricky bit is one wire needs soldered onto the bottom of the RX18 unit and it is a really small contact with no room for error but take your time and it goes fine.

I will be fitting these to a couple of my other HL tanks as the recoil really does annoy me.

cheers

hey gorehound, when you try out the recoil stopper let us know if it temperarely kills power to the motors when you are driving forward and shooting. this way we'll know for certain if its relay activated

Hi

Just played, I mean experimented with the Tiger. When she is running full forwards (which is slow with 3:1 reducers fitted) and you fire the cannon the tank stops and then picks up again. It does it quite realistically though as she runs to a smooth stop and then picks up again smoothly which is nice . I have also fitted the diode so that the fire is activated by the push up on the stick and I have a Tam recoil unit in it as well. All in all it is quite a good setup and I am really happy with it .

Does this help.

Meant to say that the Platine gadget also has an LED fitted to stuff down the barrel and give a muzzle flash.

cheers

[8D] OK ! so if its just 2 relays , then all we need to know is were to wire them in , are they between the circuit board and the motors as in 1 each side ?? This would help a lot of us .

yep run as normally closed switches. when the hl recoil does its thing...pow they open and interrupt the motors!! the same way we install a flash for the muzzle is exactly the same circuit we would use.
