Seriouly thou. Given the year...Say 1943-44 all you would hear from the Tiger crew is "target,, t-34, right, range 800"..."target in sight"..."stop,..fire".. "hit....target....."

It was very fun to watch. Great job on a really creative video. I guess this is how Spielberg started, but with Super 8 and a cassette player. Now look at him.

Hi all, Thanks for watching the vid! We definitely need to get that Tiger crew to fire since the T34 was locked! I guess they felt that the Russian shells were not going to penetrate the armor head on. How arrogant! lol. Anyways, this was our first attempt of filming a movie with effects and this was also the first time in running our RC Tanks. If it was not for this forum, we wouldn't have even known how great (and potentially expensive) this hobby is! I can can see how some people can end up with 10 or 12 tanks. As you can see, we definitely need to upgrade some of the tanks to have proportional speed like putting Heng Long electronics in the T34s. This forum has the how to's and need whats which is great. And Blitz, get ready, you'll be gettin' an email for two of those Shermans when they come in as we're looking forward to filming a battle in the bocage. We'll definitely pay attention to more detail when we film. Maybe.. Anyways, thanks to all for watching!

A lot of effort went into this. That Tiger crew needs some more practice though. They should have been aquiring targets and firing every nine seconds!!!!!!!

Lol.. YHR. Yeah no kidding they were slow... And what's worse is that they missed all of their targets!! Well.. If they would have hit their targets, we would have had a 10 second video. We'll definitely pay more attention to detail and make sure that we hire a trained Tiger crew to be in the film next time. Ripbud figured out how to animate an exploding tank and add CG soldiers. So next time, there defintiely will be some tanks destroyed and more.

Hi all,
Just updated my test living room footage - remember these are just tests. We'll be working on a realistic project soon.

Liked that one even better...better control on the MG flash...a little too much heat signature afterwards, though. Integrated the game and it's soldiers was really cool. [8D]

Hi philipat
Thanks for taking a look.
Indeed I agree - You'd think he'd fired his gun for hours on end eh?
Also I don't think it would heat up after the first burst so fast (or would it?)

Anyway thanks for your feedback - more to come! Hopefully more accurate as well.

Hi Blitz,
You know.. both Ripbud and I were thinking that since we're in So Cal. More tanks = more possibilties! I have to say that your videos of your tank battles in SD are actually what inspired me to start. We're still experimenting with some things but we should get together. It's funny you mentioned it cause that's what I told Ripbud last night. Plus, both Ripbud and I may need upgrades. But most importantly, a couple Shermans when you get them in.

Hey removeb4flt,

The video was put together with:

Adobe After Effects CS4 (Composting) (Can be Simple or Complex)
Adobe Premiere CS4 (Sound / Editing) (Can be Simple or Complex)
Fx Home (Gun Fire Graphics / Heat Blur) (Easy to Use)
Company of Heroes NiS Editor (Pain in the ass)
Men of War GEM Editor (Seems easier than Company of Heroes)

Cool, be in touch, and I'll work on getting some more variety of tanks for the ultimate battle!

Here is another - very short - test.

Rip went out filming this weekend - just to get me some test video.

As always - just a test to figure out what's possible.

LOL
You mean you heard Rip talking in the background? Poor guy was talking to himself trying to figure out what to shoot for me. I'm glad I didn't use a clip where he was cursing! :-P

Hello,

I make tank movies too, here they are: http://www.youtube.com/user/alanundlilja

They are a lot of fun to make. I am really interested in your SFX work as I have experimenting with some of my own using adobe image maker however it is tedious frame by frame work, your FXhome SFX look much better.

Which version of FXhome to you have? Effects Lab Pro or one of the other ones? Do the effects come custom made so you just have to paste them in? It is not so expensive this particular version of the software and I would look at getting it if it can do the job. The prices of the other versions of the software get a bit silly though.

That clip with the tank crew in it was amazing. How did you do those?

Great work, keep it up.

Cheers

Alan.
