Default S.C.A.T. March Battleday

For those club members who may have missed the e-mail..... New tankers are also welcome.

The next SCAT meeting will be on Sunday, March 22nd - 9:00 am @ Steve's

It will primarily be a battlefield maintenance / building day, but if a enough people get enough work done, we will be able to battle in the afternoon.

• Steve has brought in some dirt and masonry blocks to help re-contour the field. (Bring gloves and any tools you think might help)

"I came up with a new idea for the battle field that will take a lot of
work but will make our battles a lot more fun and more strategic. In a
nut shell the whole west side of the river will become one town. The
desert pass will be moved to the south east corner. This means a lot of
rocks will need to be moved. We will need to get moving on some
additional buildings as well. I would like the town big enough for town
defenders to have enough room to fall back if needed. The bridges will
become a lot more strategic with this layout as well."

• For those who might not be able to lift a shovel and play in the dirt, we still have a need for your skills and time. Parts for new building to be cast and assembled. (Bring any modeling tools you might need)

• Existing elements could use some care, maintenance and upgrade.

If you cannot make it to this build day, try and think of some other ways you can help the club. Any vehicles or dioramas you like to lend or donate would be appreciated - (we make the element(s) with you name and contact info so you can get it back at a later date).

The battlefield can be as nice as we want it to be, if we are all willing to put in some time.

9:00 am - Meet at Steve's and ready to go to work

12:00 pm - Lunch (Chip in $5 for the Patton BBQ, or bring your own)

1:00 pm - Back to work!

Please remember to R.S.V.P.

DAK CO on assignment in Phoenix and cannot attend. Covering Luke Days (our big local airshow) for the news. Are you planning a normal battle in the near future to enjoy the fruit of your labor? Next DAK event is tentatively scheduled for May 2.

Hi Ethan,

May 2nd would be my choice also. The next weekend is Mothersday and we need to take good care of our moms. The weekend after that is my wedding aniversery and I need to take good care of the miss or she might pull her support; you know how much I rely on her

Nice pics!

Due to circumstances beyond our control - a 70% chance of rain - the Sunday meeting has been cancelled.

We should have the next Battle Day on the schedule within a week or two. We will use the usual set up time over the next few meetings to incorporate the upgrades that Steve wants to add.

Sorry about the short notice, and thank you for you understanding.

Sorry you had to cancel, I am glad the weather didn't make it to AZ over the weekend. Coverage of Luke Days airshow was fun, they had and Osprey and a Raptor!

DAK is planning our next day to be MAY 2nd. It is our night battle so I hope we don't conflict. We need to get ours in befor it gets too hot!
