Thanks.   So far  I have had no problems turning with the new tracks.  Without tensioners I had to make sure the track was just right.   I also had to make sure the sprockets were just right.   It takes M3 20s not 10s to attach the sprockets since they are wider.   The speed hasn't been impacted much by the additional weight.

Please, would you check if that tank is really 1/18 scale or what? I know sometimes 21st century tanks do differ a bit from the listed 1/18 scale.

It is at least 1/18.    When I set it next to my Tiran 5 it's the same length but stands taller.
