M4A3E8 Sherman Easy Eight Bulldozer Tank
So, we have Sherman's on the way. I found a certain model that would be interesting to make. there was only 50 made with the M2 plow blade.

"Amazingly this Sherman Tank had been buried on the grounds of a hospital in NY State for 21 years. According to the museum, the Central Islip Psychiatric Center used the Sherman Bulldozer Tank for moving coal and and rail cars on the hospital grounds after WWII. When the museum switched from coal to gas the tank was no longer needed and fell into disrepair. The hospital officials found it was cheaper to bury it on the property than have it hauled away so into the ground it went."
it is an interesting read to. just wondering how to do the blade and make it functional. and of course without spending 100's on hydraulic kits etc. so far its just a thought. might steal the power to the bb gun or something lol.

Hmmm...
Bubba showed me some micro-gearboxes a while back... and I've seen at least one site that has a few. There is that casing on top of the armor to hide gear, and one could make a bit more space by cutting into the nose armor, but the drive gearboxes are right there, remember. And the cabling appears to go into the MG port.
Its do-able... but one would want a better look at how its attached to the tank chassis before attempting it, and measurements on that actuator casing. Probably want to re-inforce the nose... and that ~is~ a HVSS, might be better to use a Tamiya, with its metal chassis.
Just observations...

I posted this some time ago, from a member of my rctank club

The blade is pushed up and down using a bowden cable operated through a motor with an endless screw pinion and a straight toothed gear.

Good luck. The M4A1 76 is the wrong tank to be making this kind of modification to.
Get a Tamiya kit.

It's called scratch building and trial and error.
