Well weathered and whitewashed Sherman pictures?
Yesterday I was searching the forums here and ran across some pictures of a Sherman that was well weathered and whitewashed. Today for the life of me I cannot find the pictures, does anyone know where these pictures are? I appreciate any help that is given for this search; I am trying to lure my father into the hobby with me, he really liked the Pershing and Panther that I just purchased but he asked a couple of times about a Sherman. If my father gets into the hobby then I know my brothers (older and younger) will want to do some tank wars with us.
Thanks,
DT

DeadTom,
Not sure if this is what you saw, but there is some shots of a very heavily weathered and beaten up Sherman on my Sherman build Thread - Accurized M4A3 (75) W, click the link below or if that doesn't work cut and paste it into your browser
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_78...tm.htm#7809704
Page 1 scroll down to post #7 and there are 3 pictures included there.
I hope this helps!

Yes Streetsquid that is the set of pictures I was looking for and was really having a hard time locating them.
Is the tank in question one of your builds? If so, you do very nice work and if not, then someone did some very nice work.
Thank you again for your help,
DT

RE: Well weathered and whitewashed Sherman pictures?
DT,
Glad I could help.
Actually it's not one of my builds, but pictures I found on-line (can't remember which website either missing lynx, Hyperscale, or Armorama - it's a 1/35th scale kit) I'm using it as reference for our group build in which I will be painting 5 whitewash Shermans from Bastogne (Battle of the Bulge).
I did just recently complete a whitewash Tamiya Tiger 1 commission paint and weathering job for another gentleman in my RC club. We offer painting and weathering services through our club website. His Tiger was a test bed to practice and perfect the technique before attacking the group of Shermans. Here are a few pics
