Hey Hal!
Nice looking Befel!
I read the turret was likely welded to the hull of the panther since it's unlikelythe turret couldn't be a swap and drop for it's size comparison to the pather turret. Have you read anything that says the turret "can" traverse?

somesay that the turret was rotating, but they had not the actual gun - there was a wooden stick installed. I have requested Kubinka museum to get the info from BundesArchive.
there are two welknown photos of these 2 "beasts" that took part in Kursk battle.
+ there was a defending shrutsen around the turret.
Some info is here

I don't have any other photos of the BefelsPanther. I missed a grand book on both the Panther and KV a few days ago. Both sold just minutes before I arrived at the book shop. Of course, here they have no concept of 'order' a book for you.

Panther G (HL) is not easy to convert to D... due to some construction limitations...

Hal,
Great looking tank. You may have given me reason to finish my Pantiger rebuild and use the turret from a non S and S PZ IV that I have. I have always wanted to finish the Pantiger, but having a Panther G made it a mote point. You have restooked the fires my friend thanks and thanks for sharing. Hope you don't mind if I copy your tank?

But yesterday was the first battle day and to my grief "Barbara" (befel) did not demonstrate itself from good point.
Verdict - all electronics will be changed to Tamiya.
