RE: MY
now accomplished the external side... waiting for tbu to install only...
The legend behind the scene: this is a try to reinstate 34thtank, 1st company, 502 Heavy Tank Battalion.
Period covered - may-june 1943
Place: Eastern front, Leningrad.
The whole model was reconstructed using manuals and dairies of 502-nd HTB and also testimonials of people from Leningrad, that faced these "cats".

RE: MY
That's a hell of a job on that Tiger! Really rough and mean looking.
Great job!
Did you hand paint the mammoth or are those decals? If so, I could really use some direction on where to find some Pz.Abt 502 decals.

Hal,
Were the decals from mato listed as upgrade parts. I don't remember seeing any as I am looking for some good decals without spending $20-$30 for the decals with shipping.

RE: MY
Guys,
have just started the new project...
This TANK was never designed or even drawn.I only assume that IT could be in thoughts of German tank-builders, that is why I call it a German Heavy Tank DW-II(H3) from their dream or fairy-tale...
But frankly I like it very much, the design and the parameters... I call it "“NächtJäger” or "Night Hunter"
I assume that if ithave been built itwould be:
1. Weight -55-60 tonns in real,
2. 80 mm armor in the turret - 100 mm armor from the front,
3. equipped with KwK36 (88mm) gun, two machine guns (MG-34 *2(7,92mm))
4. anti-aircraft missile system "LuftFaust-B"
5.night vision system "Infrarot-Scheinwerfer"...
Some photos of started work are being prepared... I am in the very bebinning of the way...

RE: MY
Just a NOTE...
while building "NightHunter" I had to re=design several things on the body: the turret is too big for H-body.
I removed zip-box to the rear, the viewing apertures for driver and radioman from the front, changed the transport cables... etc
Pics are to come soon...

RE: MY
Nice job Hal!
Something about your "What If?" tank is quite appealing and looks probable.
I really like that you went outside the "box" which isn't common among the forums. I'd love to see more "what if" tanks in the future or even made up tanks all together (something I intend to do in the future.)
Keeper comin Hal!

Well done, Hal! Nice combination of parts on a could have been tank. I like the night vision too! Nice touch, and well within possibility if the war had lasted another 3 months.

Today was my first Battle day for my Night Hunter...
She has shown excellent results actually... After this day I made some changes in the gun, now it looks finished...
Experiment continues... the model is not yet done.
