Default Planetary gearboxes for the tamiya tiger 1.

Has any one put a planetarty gearbox set up on there tiger ? If so how well does it work?

Ive been able to find a few for the 380 motors but they are 3.33/ 1 ratio. Would that be too slow?

I searched but wasent able to find any info on such a mod so either there wasent any or i dident search right.

Default RE: Planetary gearboxes for the tamiya tiger 1.

I have seen this done for a Bandai 15th scale tank by Willy:

Keep in mind the ratio of the linear gears is about 60-100:1 depending on OOTB or custom. To use palanetary, you would need to have several stages for geardown for a tank.
