Default M-16 WSN RC Halftrack available @ RCTankWars.com

Hello Guys!

They came in, I have been dealing with a new vendor to get these Halftacks in house! My first order was not large but the supplier promised me a certain shipping time and he delivered!!! All of the first order has already been sold as I offered these to guys that would be a little patient with me if the deal was not going as planned! But all checked out with this company and they are coming through! I will be taking pre-orders for these saves you $ 15.00 the retail price is going to be $ 185.00 so early buy you pay $ 170.00 plus shipping, and shipping within the USA $ 15.00 Canada $ 25.00 Europe $ 45-50

The storm has blown a huge tree onto the car port and right now the carport is holding up the tree from smashing my truck[X(]

So I will get back to you with pictures and more details, but if you pay before this weekend I will ship you a M-16 Halftrack to you withing 10 - 14 days! The dual 50 cals light up and swivel up and all the way around too cool,,,[sm=shades_smile.gif]
Thanks,

Phil (the Blitz)

Man, that sounds tempting! Thanks for the Sherman, it arrived Monday but I have yet to open the box!

Hope you make out okay with the truck VS tree ordeal. There have been some nasty storms down your way!

Hey Thanks Jeff, and the truck looks like its OK scratch's and maybe one dent!

Ok Pics Below of the Halftrack and it drives real nice, too wet to take it in dirt or hills but seems to have good power to weight ratio! Working lights when it moves they come on, the dual 50 cal awesome!! Vidoe this weekend...

With a little bit of redesign, that could be a White scout car too! Or the basis of a Famo. Or a whole bunch of other wheeled/tracked goodies!

If you can get these guys too supply replacement or repair parts conversions would be a lot simpler. I have 2 halftracks 1 German 1 US with the QUAD 50's. I was eventually going to convert these but this could be a viable alternative Phil. See what they say, you know gearboxes, tracks and sprockets, steering components. Cant hurt to ask.

Great pictures, Blitz....!!

You can even use these on "Eastern Front" battlefields: the US send 1,000 similar "M17's" (built on the International Harvester chassis, but identically armed) to the USSR under "Lend Lease" !

Hey Rex, You sure can, I am going to make mine into the M-3 75mm tank destroyer!!!

Panther G, I know one vendor is working on a track upgrade! These component or upgrade of these components would not work for the German halftracks! They were dual drive like a tank, the US version is built on a truck chassis, so plenty of upgrade parts for this already, its an RC truck! Differential with a drive shaft and servo front end steering!

Killick64 right on, I did not realize that, even more we can use these for!!!

Tomas,, Thanks, and I will keep you posted!

I converted a 1/18 halftrack into the 75mm AT version last year.....I shoulda been patient and waited for this beauty. The running gear on this jewel is turning up the heat on my thoughts about scratchbuilding a Studebaker 2 1/2 ton truck.

Hello Jeff

Yes, they come with these 2 figurines, hips swival, head arms at the shoulders, and boots but the legs and arms at the knee and elbows do not move!

Nice work on the tank destroyer Rex, I may hit you up for some pointers!

There's a pretty cool video of this halftrack on Youtube. Its the one where the guy has his running in his livingroom. I especially like the LED machine guns. I want one bad...... Im saving my pennies.

I emailed the guy that had the video and asked him some questions about the halftrack. I wanted to know if you could lift up the armoured "windshield" like the real ones did. Answer no. I guess if somone wanted it up they could cut it out.

Dollhouse hinges! [sm=thumbs_up.gif] I found some real tiny ones that should do the job on that.

Micro-Mark also has some tiny hinges that work great. Maybe these are the same ones you found.

http://www.micromark.com/Hinges.html

The drop down side plates and doors could be hinged as well. I don't know if I'll do the hinged armor plate on the door windows. This one is gonna be fun to mess with. Models that are perfect and can't be improved are boring.

Phil emailed today with great news and tells me I will receive my M16 sample end of day Tuesday. I will do a photo essay (similar to a modeler's photo build thread) for all you RTR people (the ranks of which I have just joined) on how to remove it from the box; install the battery and power it up plus a few detail photos of what it looks like and then how to put it back in the box and include proven tips on where to hide it from your wife.

Oh man, he should have sent it to me instead. I could have included proven tips on how to train the wife to not be concerned with what we buy.

We kinda thought all along you aren't really married and are clueless about the subject and probably are just about to become divorced (and really broke) if you are married with that matrimony attitude.

Or maybe your suffering from some sort of delusional disorder and need help from your HMO provider.

Or is it less serious and just wishful thinking on your part that you can train any woman who also happens to be ones wife?

Let us all know when you get better, are thoughts aren't with you. And the best place to hide a new rc armored toy from your wife for the rest of the 21st Century is imaged below and will work equally well regardless of where you live.

That would be a great hiding place from my wife, she only uses it to hide the mail and stuff from the kitchen counter when we have guests. The kids all know to check the oven for paper if they use the oven when they come visit LOL
