KV-1 Video climbs hills, crossing ponds and dropping off cliffs....
Here is my KV-1 work in progress, it gets a little better every few months! No markings yet the crew has not been asigned to a unit! As you can see by the video they still need some practice driving![X(]
The tank has the DBC/DBU Tamiya compatible battle unit, Asitam Gearbox with Graupner 400 motors and metal tracks!

Nice one Phil!
Through the water? You must have sealed it.
Thought that tumble was pretty awesome. Funny how some have all the luck. I did the same tumble twice and landed top down. Phfft.

Very impressive. Can you elaborate on what you had to do to get the 400s in there? Did you have to modify the hull to fit the gearboxes? Or just tweak the gearboxes to accept the motors?
How does the interior space compare with the PzIII?

That just shows you just how tuff the HL KV is. Mine is STILL running around like an indestructible machine and I haven't upgraded a thing yet on it.

I cant seem to get mine back from my young nephew. LOL I wonder what condition it is in. does anyone know of a version that used a longer gun? I am just not a short barrel gun fan.

The KV-1S?
Also, the captured KV-1 by the Germans put a long barreled 75MM in that turret.

Great video, in fact I think the quality is terrific from the camera and the angles.
Makes me wish I had the funds for a KV-1. In due time because this is my favorite new tank.
Hey, that hill looks a little wet so you probably had more slippage than expected. Next time when the suns out, I bet money it would climb right up it!
That creek is a good location and it went across no problems.
Being rear wheel drive can have its advantages too!

Hey Philipat,
I did not have to modify the hull at all! This setup barely fits though, you will have to butt the two side as close as you possibly can together, then center! Leaving a few mili-meter on each side, rivet counter may even want to knock a mili-meter off of each drive shafts, but I did not see it afftect the drive train at all! None of the stand offs will match up, so I used metal stand offs and I am getting pretty good at marking the hull and drilling through, but lilke they say measure twice and cut once and small That way if you are off by a mili-meter or so you can adjust it without a hug hole in the bottom hull!
To Shabbernigdo, I have no idea on that type specs your requested for these motors, but fellow member here Swathdiver has torque info under load, and no load. And for I now sell these because they are the best that I can find that actually do give you a little more punch and at the same time are safe to use with the RX-18 board.
Thanks guys for the comments, this is a tough tank, and hopfully it will make a good IR battler!
