Tim it is not a very hard mod. Once you dissasemble the turret you can see what needs to be done. I really got to start taking pics of my conversions. This one was not my idea but bubbajoexx's. her comes up with some bad ass mods.Check his profile page, it should list the article.

oh and I cut off the outer plastic barrel and added a piece of brass tube that fits over the inner airsoft barrel. Makes it look much better. I allso added a piece of styrene tube on the very end to simulate the thread protecktor since this tank was made before the new muzel brake. This i will get some pics of.

Thanks Panther G, so far I've painted mine, replaced the speaker(no improvement), cut off the plastic outer barrel, moved the on/off switch to under a hatch and added some ammo cans, water cans etc.

Timslocum,
I believe the turret mod your talking about was from some posts by YHR ( he has posted a lot of pics of his builds and mods). I have done it and it does make it look 100% better.

Bubba posted the conversion. I did the conversion, but I don't think I took pictures.
I found a link to another forum. Bubba posted over there

RE: Mato Sherman Turret mod....cant find it.
I just did a neat little mod. I had cut the outer barrel off of the gun, but thought it looked a little too thin so i found a peice of modeling brass tube that just happenned to be a perfect fit. It extended the barrel back to the correct length and fattened it back up a bit. Then I found a peice of round styrene tube that was perfect to fit over the brass to simulate the thread prtector at the end of the barrel. Since we have the early model ,it didn't have the muzel break yet.
