Default RE: Bowlman's Porsche KT Build

The Porsche KT at Bovington has the binocular gun sight. Every photo I have seen to date of a Porsche KT with the one-piece barrel has the binocular sight. Monocular sights, accompany the latter two-piece barrel. The stock Tamiya kit is correct for a two-piece barrel tank. Just add another gun sight hole in the turret for the one-piece barrel using the Bovington tank as reference.

Your project is looking good Bowlman! I have this same kit.. Someday, hopefully, when war funds are available, I will be converting mine like Bowlman is doing.

Thanks RESA
I found a pic in one of my books by George Bradford and The King Tiger Vol . II .
The first book showed the Porsche KT with also exhaust pipes of a Tiger 1 .

There ya go. Just clean up the edges of the new hole with a small jeweler's file.

Yes I've seen the Tiger 1 pipes with heat shields. I've got a couple photos of 2 prototype KTs (in a book). One with Porsche turret, Tiger 1 style exhaust, one-piece barrel, binocular sight, and 18 tooth sprocket wheels with transport tracks. The other has the same except standard KT exhaust, with Tiger 1 style front fenders on it.
