Very fine video work. Nice to see RC tanks not trying to be hot rod sports cars. Absolutely realistic speed and handling. Nice sounds. If you have the capability, the M-41 had a high pitched whine due to the supercharger. You could ID it miles away. Great job David.

Hey there Tony,

It is my son's Pz3. Phil's first 3 to 1 gear set conversion with metal tracks. Wish I had one lol.

Glad all enjoyed. I will keep trying to do this better. I would like to film a big tank like a Panther G or KT. One Bulldog is not enough.

Thanks for the comments.

Be well,

David

Hello Bill,

I agree on the sound I need sounds from the Bulldog. If I could just get the engine running I can edit the rest. Anyone else know where I can get sounds from the engines of some tanks?

Be well Bill I always like to hear from you .

@pattoncommander...didn't say the Bulldog was a hot rod?

@dash...nice videos. What software do you use to edit it? Here's some YouTube of the 1:1 scale driving. Just do a search for M41 Bulldog...I only pulled a sampling.

There's definitely the high-pitched whine pattoncommander mentioned.

David, if your looking for sounds.....
What you can do is find a Youtube ripper and find a youtube video that has quality sounds that you want and rip it to mp4 or strictly mp3 files. There's some free sites out there that you don't have to down load anyprogramsfor it and free. I lost all the sites that I used to use since my last computer crashed, but it's an idea!

Phillpt; the M-41 was THE sports car of the tanks back in the late 50's. You could get it up to 45 mph....then try to hold it on the road.
The short track-gound ratio made it very prone to oversteering at high speeds. That Lycoming 500 hp engine had a turbocharger whci produced that whine. The 280mm atomic cannon brought out in later 1950's had a tractor on front and rear and both had the same angine as the Bulldog. When one rolled though at night, it sounded like a platoon of M-41s.

Nice videos. thanks..that sound brought back sweet memories. My all time favorite driving tank.

David, get ahold of the Ropkey Musem...he has a fully restored M-41...his favorite tank. Maybe he could record the sound.

If you use Firefox, look for the extension called "Download Helper". It allows you to save YouTube videos to your hard drive.
