Mitosal Doesn't Mess Around!
I justreceiveda call from Mitosal. Usually I don't pick up the phone at this time in the night, but the number looked weird, so I made the exception. I answer and a reply to me comes with broken English. "Geez," asolicitorfinally got me.
Nope, they called from Singapore to make sure I got the package and that everything was okay with the order.
Who does that? Really?
I think that's a fairly good practice. Not sure if they do this often, or if sales and orders have been bad lately, but I like it.

Just the metal swing arms for my Leo. That's it, no tank, no tracks........
Guess it's not common of them, huh?

RE: Mitosal Doesn't Mess Around!
Greg, I know Mitosal is Impact! lol
It's just the site I ordered from.
Whether something is up or not, I think it's a good practice and hope they keep that up. Gives people the impression that a seller really gives a damn, whether theytrulydo or not. Says their confident in their products/services and gives the customer anopportunityto agree or state otherwise.
I know some folks here don't care for Impact/Mistosal for reasons outside of their products and that's really none of my concern or business. Just stating my experience thus far.

Well tony , it did have a lot to do with their products as most of them in the beginning where junk. It took some hard work from some very good people to get them too the point they are at now and then they turned around and stuck it too them. And yes I am very opinionated and yes my mout is moving before the brain cells are still getting their $#(! together.

Ahh, now to clarify. I just got an email from them.
Dear Mr. XXXX,
We are happy that you have received and like the product.
We are happy that you have received and like the product.
We like to make sure packages arrive through registered post.
The disadvantage of using registered post, the service is not as good. But still Customers still get to receive it.
The advantage is lower shipping cost.
So far since 2009, we only had 2 packaged undelivered with registered post. But these 2 packages were to Europe, and the problem was with their local postal service.
Customers' contact phone numbers were printed, yet their postal service did not attempt to call.
For the USA Customers, the only complain were sometimes late receiving of packages, that is more than 8 working days.
But that were mainly due to weather, and Customers at the Eastern coast of America.
That is why for packages more than 500g, Mitosal will use Fedex. Which it is cheaper than postal service and faster.
Hope that you will have lots of fun in building your Tamiya 1/16 Leopard. Tamiya had done well designing this tank.
Regards

There's a big push in China right now on international trade. China has moved ahead of Japan and they are hell bent to top the USA. Probably going to see a lot of politeness in dealers ...maybe higher prices too[:-]....hey, HL might even consider making something other than tigers and pershings.

What was the question? Oh, HL makes alot more than any of us ever knew of before. some interesting facts i have learned recently. Could be good , could be bad. But still no word on the HL KT. That really did suprise me. It was to be released back in June. Now no word. They are pre occupied with current undertakings. I also havent heard anything about any new modern armor, which is my biggest gripe.
No Joe, ETO is one of the dealers that Impact should I say let down for a more civilized way of putting it.

This is the only other place to get swing arm....while the quality would be vastly better since this is actually nickel-silver.......phew, $200 with shipping. I'll take the pot metal.

He's got quite a few stitches and his left are is chewed up like hamberger, but he is gonna be ok. totaled his Jeep though. were kinda screwed now with no cash to get him another vehicle. Damn thing just got out from under him on a wet curve and freakin flipped over on its roof. i thank god he is still alive
Yeah Tony, we are kinda locked into the Impact stuff with AFV's prices and Impact now's it. Thats what they did though. started selling them cheaper on their own site than they where selling them too their licensed dealers. Nasty habit that is. Burned alot of bridges they did.
Now with that said, they make great tracks, but I cringe when I think of the future when I gotta replace my Panther G's tracks. Probably will go with Kenny's tracks then..

Wow, that's a terrible thing and I dread my boys going through a similar ordeal when they're older. I'm glad he's okay in regards to being alive and kicking, and hope for a speedy recovery.

Here's to a speedy recovery, PG.
I think I got one of the last (if not the last) Impact sets from ETO back in 09. Interesting to find out this other info.
The arms needed a little touch up with flash where they attach to the V bearings, but aren't too bad otherwise. Not to mention they were cheaper like Tony mentions.

Shaker, are you talking Ostketten or Winterketten? There's a difference. If it's Winterketten, the snow tracks, I've got one set in warehouse from Impact, also one set of Pershing tracks by Impact.
