RE: The Tanker's Lounge

Well said. Seems that we have a disease in this country these days...it is memory loss after everything this leader has done against the people and our rights. Some guys don't even know what Fast and Furious is. That alone is a reason he should not be there. Banghazi is yet another of many reasons...only more recent, that many seem to just forget about because the media is't talking about it. Anyone blind enough not to see what this guy is doing must be too busy being deterred by watching Jersey Shore. That's what counts these days. He takes God out of our country, promotes other religions, wants to take away our constitutional rights, but that's ok. When you are sitting in a concentration camp wondering what happened, remeber that Jersey Shore entertained you. Forget that you voted for the man who took all your rights away and then defended him. Wake up, America!

You know that the great majority of sheeple in this country are NOT going to vote Santa Clause out of office. He has promised them everything and needs just a little more time to get it done. All I can say is remember the Boy Scouts, "Be Prepared."

the GOP will filibuster everything like they have for the last 4 years
Call BS on that...... the Dems had filibuster proof majority (60 seats) and in the Senate AND control of the house (Pelosi) for the first two years?!?

Anything that Obama could not pass in those first two years was because DEMS would not vote for it. It was a nation-wide revulsion too all that was done by the democratic congress that lead to the Reps taking over the house and breaking the Dems stranglehold of the Senate.

I guess if you can't remember back that far it might explain that voted for O a second time. 2008 is understandable, the man had no record. Voting for him again in 2012 was indefensible.

What has this guy done to prove he can lead? When has he brought together people and forged a compromise? Healthcare was rammed though on party lines - (corn husker kickback etc...). When he had a chance to lead on the debt, he could not follow the recommendations of his own debt commission. The budgets he submitted for the last three years could not even muster an significant democratic support. Fast and Furious - executive privilege. Benghazi, we will get back to you after the election......

He seems like a decent guy, nice father, but that doesn't qualify you to be president. Just ask Jimmy Carter.
*sigh* I wish guys on here paid as much attention to the real world as they did to ww2 history.I could postsource after source but like the German peoplein ww2, youwill never "see" the truthuntil you are dragged through the death camps at gun point. You can not see that the reason the Dem's lost thecongress was the GOP states redrawing the voting districts. You will not seethatBush reallyran up the national deptabout 900 billion each year while running 2 unpaid for wars, sure he declared about a 350 billion dept each year but then he submitted budget amendments for the wars andif the Dem's voted againstthem they "were not supporting the troops".....I could post links like this on the 60 seat senate BS

http://sandiegofreepress.org/2012/09...cratic-senate/

But they would not matter, some peoplehave a "truth" locked into their minds and no amount offacts will change that "truth". I used to run into this kind of stuff down south when talking about religion. So I sat down and read the bible cover to cover 3 times, took notes, highlighted sectionsand triedto understand it all rather than let someone else try to tell me what things ment from the book. Its a differentkind of thinking, not wanting to be told what to beleive.....some people can do it, some can not.

One question. Freedom of speech is why we can state what we think, yes? I will take it that you probably don't believe in that based on the response you posted to the NEAD page to an email that was accidentally posted from a member. And if that's true, you probably don't believe in any of our other rights either. Sooo, who is the closed minded one here? Is it you or is it everyone who thinks you are wrong?
I believe that everyone is entitled to his opinion, but when looking at the facts of what this jackass has done and will coninue to do, it is no longer an opinion. It is a fact that he has taken a  country that was in trouble and created yet more trouble for it.

Don't get me wrong, I am not in love with Oboma....I wish he was more to the left. He seems to thinkfree trade is a good idea and anyone with a basic understanding of how a countries economy works knows that is dumb idea. Its just a tool used by the super rich to destroy the middleclass in America and build it up in countries like china and India( way more people to buy your stuff). The affordable health care act was written by right wing think tank group, the heritage foundation, It would have been much better to have Medicare for all. Putting a for profit insurance company between you and a doctor is just a dumb way to do things but it helps the super rich make more money. There is a class war in America and the middle class is getting their butts kicked by the super rich and many of them do not even see they are being miss lead to do it to themselves.

Is that leftie enough for you?http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...eeth_smile.gif

You site the San Diego Free Press. Really a paper that has 'Progressive' on it's masthead? Can I quote Rush Limbaugh as my trusted source?

Your 41st Republican / Independent is Barry Sanders - the only self proclaimed socialist in Congress. He caucus with the democrats. If anything the democrats are not far enough left for him. Think you might want to move him one to the D column pushing it to D=60 /R=40 a lot sooner than the article had calculated. So, Ted Kennedy and Robert Bryd were dying while in office. Seems more like a statement about their egos and failures within the democratic party then a republian problem.

I list some specifics, and you respond with generalities and change the topic. Smoke and mirrors, divert and degrade.

You then fall back on BLAME BUSH!. Obama has been elected - TWO TIMES - when are you going to quit blaming his predecessors? Obama has even thrown Clinton under the bus when he complains things have been bad for 20 years. TIme for him to put on his big-boy pants and lead!

Unlike your unfounded assumption, I do spend a lot more time on current political and economic events than WWII history. You then proceed to through out Bush era stats - I was never a supporter of Bush's reckless spending. Obama ran that what Bush was spending was criminal, then proceeded to double it in half the time. You are really going to hang you argument on the fact the stupid thing our guy is doing is okay because of the stupid things done before? As far as standing up to those who would accuse them of "not supporting the troops", was it not a democrat who said "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen"?

Reagan was able to work with O'Neil to save Social Security, tax reform, and immigration in the 80's

Clinton and Gingrich worked together in the 90's on welfare and other issues.

Do you really believe that Obama has demonstrated any ability to lead congress towards a well thought out and reasoned compromise.?

I though the slogan of the race was FORWARD….. democrats seem to spend a lot more time looking for excuses in the past and not forging solutions.

Mustclime, can you show us facts where these policies, that Obama has pushed for and gotten, have worked? Has there been another country or economy that has prospered using Obama's ideas that we can look to as an example? The U.S. still has the largest economy in the world despite what Obama has tried to do. I would think that Europe would have surpassed us by now if their progressive strategies, which Obama has tried to emulate, were working so well.

Reading through all of this I just tghought of another thing about your beloved Osama..oops...Obama. Have you seen him give a speech? He addresses the nation a little different than other preidents have. I have not yet heard him say, "My fellow Americans", in any of his speeches. I have heard him say that he is not a citizen of this country, but a "citizen of the world." Well, you know what? That in itself shows that he is not one of us. That should be in your face enough to show who he is and what he is about. Christ, he is coming out and telling you right there. If that isn't enough, then see the above posts again and re-read them. Beghazi, Fast and Furious...and think, there are most likely plenty of things that have never even gotten out for the public to know about. As I said, facts are facts. You can have an opinion, but that does not change the facts. Socialism brother. Read about it. Obama should have his picture next to the definition.</p>

Ok, I will respond to this on even though its like screaming at the wind.....
case one.....where was the economywhen Oboma stepped into office?.....pretty much in free fall,in2008 the US lost 2,600,000jobs.....

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/09/bu...2394.html?_r=0

Last monththe economycreated 177,000 jobs............thats a difference of 2,523,000 just for one month. sorce....

http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm

when you go from loosing 2.6 million a year to creating jobs, I count that as a plus..

I know people on the right side of the isle want to just blame Bush for all the bad that happened in those 8 years, stuff like wars, crazy spending , closing down the Ben laden desk in the CIA in 2005.....but they forget that over 80% of the gop's people in the congress and senate were there most of those 8 years.

Now, I do not expect anyone to read it but this is a really good source for economic info....if you doubt the source of the info, hit the links shown in Bold print

http://crooksandliars.com/jon-perr/1...out-taxes-debt

Did Oboma get Ben Laden? Is Kadafie still in power?, are we still loosing truckloads ofsolders in Iraq?...say what you will, the guy did stuff.....

RE: The Tanker's Lounge

When I research things I try to stay away from, what I would call, biased or politically tainted sources. Case in point, you posted this link, http://crooksandliars.com/jon-perr/1...out-taxes-debt, which basically tries to show that the GOP single handedly caused the largest increase in the national debt while Obama’s administration and congress only raised it by $2.4 Trillion. CBO(Congressional Budget Office) states that for the fourth year in a row the federal budget deficit surpassed $1 Trillion, which comes to a grand total of $4 plus Trillion for the four years Obama has been in office. the CBO goes on to say that unless spending and taxes change it will continue to be an average of $1 Trillion increase each year for the next decade. http://www.cbo.gov/publication/43693

I thought Obama was going to cut the deficit spending and reduce the debt? Oh, I forgot, to do that you would need a budget so one would be able to look at the budget and see ware cuts could possibly be made. Oops, evidently, Harry Reid as majority leader in the senate has decided that we do not need a budget and has not allowed one to be passed for the last four years.

I looked at this site as well, http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm, and you are correct. Employment increased from 157,000 per month to 177,000 for the month of October, but you failed to mention that unemployment went up from 7.8% to 7.9%. What happened to the steady decline in unemployment?

Looked at this site as well, http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/09/bu...2394.html?_r=0, and yes for the whole year of 2008 U.S. Employers shed 2.6 Million jobs.

Check this out, http://money.cnn.com/2009/04/03/news...arch/index.htm, I know you have to like CNN, the Obama stimulus has already been passed and by April, 2009 the jobs lost have already reached 2 Million in just four months. How was that Hope and Change working for us then?

I really want things to be better for us all in America. All I can say is that unless something outside the realm of bipolar politics changes, America as a nation is toast.

Sorry Herman no eggs and cheese here things kind of bare. Every time a GD demacrat gets in the white house I end up loosing a job !

Yellowshaker and KSOC you guys should know better than to hit a lefty with facts, it don't work with them, it messes up there butterflys and rainbowshttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...n/drowning.gif. Hence no answer on Fast and Furious, Bengazi on 9-11-2012.

Here's a history lesson: At the turn of the last Century Argentina had the second larget economy in the world and was prospering. They then instituted a whole host of progressive measures to help the poor, the sick, the old and in general all the people who wouldn't do for themselves. They raised taxes on everyone and everything to do it. By 1923 They were broke and had turned back into a third world nation, money ran out people were destitute and revolution ensued in comes Juan Perone and Argentina is what it is now.
Those who don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.

I also found this....

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31727_16...rious-scandal/

To me, looks like more White water crap...you remember the Whitewater commission? Thats where the GOP spent40 million dollars trying to get something on Cliton....on a side note, how much was spent on the 911 investgation?...15 million......I bring that up because holding Oboma to turing around he economy in 4 months is kinda like not holding Bush responsible for 911 when he was in office 8 months....you can not have itboth ways...

On the noteof history, Next time someone on fox news tells you that government needsjust let capitalism run wild and free with no regulation....look what happened to the country in the 1920's-&gt;to the 1930's.....Awwww, those were the good old days.

Scott your repsonses are typical of leftie crap. Avoid the issues that peoplea re actually talking about and talk about something entirely different. I understand the strategy. It is used by all who cover up the truth. Unfortuately, it works alot of the time. Something is going on that they don't want you to know about, put something on the news that has nothing to do with it and most people will never know about the real issue at hand. I suppose you agree with Obama winning a peace prize too? He has worked wonders to deserve that, right?
I have to agree with EOT, talking to guys like you is a no win situation. You believe that you are right, even when all te FACTS are against your claims. Another cheerleader for a commander who is literally taking away our rights and systematically destroying this great nation. Oh, I believe you mentioned something about him getting Bin Laden? Tell me why they never showed a body again? Oh, his religious beliefs or some nonsense right? Well, of course we should respect that after what Bin Laden did to all the innocent people on 9/11. Then again, I don;t see any respect for GOD being shown, do you? Probably don't believe in God either. After all, you are happy to support a guy who sealed all his records and has "nothing to hide". You read the Bible 3 times and you don't know evil when you see it. I am surprised your boy hasn't sprouted horns yet.
