Torro metal hull for HL and Mato 3/1 gearboxes
 

Has anyone bought and installed the Torro HL King Tiger hull and if so, what did you think? Plus, do you know if the Mato 3.1 gearbox with a Promax 480 will work as a direct drop in? My HL KT with DBC is such a slug, I'm upgrading to the above referenced gearbox and motors but I may want to upgrade later to the Torro hull. Appreciate your thoughts.

Hi I have one fitted to a Heng Long King Tiger withan SLU,it has 480 motors and 3;1 gearboxes and metal tracks,(need better tracks ones fitted aremato early ones which are open pins need closed pin tracks )it works great .Very good detail, You do have to fiddle(very little trimming)a little but it is a very good fit once done.
A great upgrade well worth themoney

I've been eyeing this one for some time...just can't decide if I like the Henschel turret or the Porshe turret better.  If the HL upper will fit on this, that opens possibilities.

Hi Thats the one I have ,got mine from Forgebear,as for the the upper the Heng Long upper  only takes the porsche turret because of the shot deflector.One thing i do know the Tamiya upper does fit as well as the mato upper .So it is possible to to fit other upper to the lower.

okay...so the HL upper fits with its Porsche.  Of course, the Torro metal upper fits, too, with its Henschel turret.  Cool
