is this the the 1.0 or 2.0?
if its the 2.0 maybe just go ahead and check the diff and shock oils, usually out of the box you should be good to go for a few runs or races.
the box setup is pretty dialed!

what I learned while running it was that while it is not a major design flaw but the rear ring and pinion gears will begin to grind if you do not replace the diff case.
Replacing those diff cases should become just another thing to check regularly, also watch the front driveshaft those were the only things that required a little more attention on my truck then anything else

make sure the rear diff is shimmed tight! notchy feeling, a little rough to roll and let it break in and check regularly. its the weak point to the 2.0 truggy, they tend to strip but if you stay ontop of the shimming and check for no play then you'll be good to go.

i do not run losi but i race with a bunch of friends that run losi and have seen them strip them alot but once they started shimming them tight and checking them more often, they arent going through as many.

Sounds like you are off to a good start. I have heard many opinions on the diff issues. Some people say they go through them like crazy while some people have yet to mess with them. You will enjoy the 2.0.

I hope so... I have had the 8T 1.0 over 4 years now, been through 4 engines and no diff problems with it.. I shimed the properly as with all diffs so i hope the 2.0 will be no different.. I have hed many complain about the diffs but i believe if proer maintenance is done there is no worries..

rumor around here is that the RTR version diff cases are a little bitty bit stronger, the diffs arent an issue if you perform regular maintenance
