Default New to Truggy.. Losi 8T 3.0

I got this race Truggy for a stupid price. I practically stole it. It had barely a scratch on it. Only things done to it were: it was assembled, run for about ten minutes, and stuck on the shelf. It was a race kit - assembled, run, and partially disassembled for shipping and reassembled by me. Everything is basically new other than the previous owner enlarging the flywheel hole to fit the starter box he was using with it (Ofna #10250); notched the chassis guard for the exhaust, and notching the body for the exhaust. The seller included a brand new Novarossi P5XLT, a used Dynamite 086HS manifold and pipe, some AKA tires and wheels, and a complete Ofna #10250 starter box. I added a few upgrades and this is what I have to work with today.

Losi 8T 3.0
Novarossi S21P5XLT (modified)
Novarossi 41032 manifold, Dynamite 086HS pipe
Spektrum DX3S radio, Venom Rx pack
Custom receiver box covers
Ofna #10250 starter box
- Custom made and fitted top plate
- Powered with 20v Dewalt LiIon battery
- External charging/power input plugs
- Internal 3-cell NiCD glow driver battery

The best part of all of this is the fact that I despise the idea of ever racing. It’s just a basher rig. LoL!

I was out last weekend to get the engine more broken in and tune it in a bit since it’s got the correct exhaust manifold on it now. I got halfway through the first tank of fuel of the day and the engine started making a weird noise when idling and seemed to have a hanging clutch shoe or broken spring. I took it apart the other day expecting to need to replace clutch springs and instead found a very roached bearing. Clutch bearing. 5x13x4 size (the inner bearing) from Boca and it lasted 1.5 quarts. I replaced both with Avid bearings and will try again soon.
