I saw an add for the Chaos at a main hobbies for like $89.00 you can get them NIB on ebay i paid like $76.00 shiped but I cant get the stupid thing to run

the chaos is fun! TD try a new plug. prime it. heat it up. if not just keep pulling really quick w/ the igniter in and put the throttle on so it idles high.

How do they survive on the track? I think it would be fun to run indoors in the winter.

they run pretty good! my track you cact really get up to speed with it to hit my massive jumps on a regular track it should be perfect! they are a lot of fun in the grass on the road in really find dirt gravel and rocks it doesnt like. look on ebay. i got mine for $84 shipped.

I might have to pick one of these up this summer. im pretty sure there is an indoor track that would let me run this around here

My pull starter bit the big one, can I leave the cover on I just removed the inners includeing the bearing, can someone send me a link to the best starter box and battery I want something that will work all day.

also can you just buy the plastic ends for the front shocks, don't need a rebuild kit for $22

For the shock ends. You can just go to your local hobby shop. Just bring the shaft and match it up with another shock end that is the same size.

i think they will work there is only a couple things different from the buggy to the truggy. the buggy shoks are just shorter.

well I ordered the red ends will see if they fit, my local hobby shop does not carry any 1/8 . but I prefer online buying anyway, and these forums are packed with way more knowledge than a hobby shop.

Are these the ones you bought?? They look awesome. Hopefully they will be better. The shocks are strong but hopefully this won't cause the shock shaft to break instead, hopefully it will reinforce both areas.

I have a couple questions about the brakes. Out of the box, my servo BARELY moved (maybe 1/16"-1/8" ) when applying the brake. I thought "how and the hell is that going to do anything" but and I finally ran it I was really impressed with its braking. My cousins on the other hand, brakes horribly, it takes about 10 feet for it to stop on pavement, but his servo moves a little more than mine, about 1/4", both are adjusted where the boot doesnt move when the brakes are applied. So what is the best way to adjust the braking? From the servo (how?) or on the radio? Is it "less is more" when talking about how much the servo moves?

Maybe adjust the linkage part at the top, you can turn the knocks the one in the back controls the back brakes, and the front one the front brakes of course. If you have the rear setup to brake more it will take longer to stop.

Alright so I have kind of a hypothetical question. Im trying to sell a brand new nitro stampede, and will be trying to sell a rtr force21 savage soon. Im am thinking i will be getting somewhere in the ballpark of $400 for both of these combined. So I was wondering what would be the best bang for the buck if i wanted to race? Right now im running a completely stock st-1 except for the 2035 Tuned Pipe an JR xr2i sytem, Red lightened hubs and nuts, and a stick pack.

1.) Get a set of Proline LPR premounted tyres in half offset. Check the track you will be racing at and see what the sufrace is like and ask around to see what tyre everyone else is using and make your choice from that 2.) Get some 80mm turnbuckles (http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/6641) with some 3x25mm screws with countersunk head for steering mod, 3.) a good fast steering servo like an Ace Digital DS1015 or probable the best steering servo on the market for an ST-1, the awesome JR Z9100S or something similar if you can find one, 4.) Some good quality diff oils in 7k-front, 10k-centre and 1k or 2k-rear to start with 5.) A spare body probably the Mugen MBX5T body since it is a lot stronger and fits perfectly cause lets face it, your gonna roll it a bit and the standard body is pretty weak and prone to breaking, 6.) Maybe some Mugen MBX5T wheel hub extensions if you like.... You should be right to go straight out of the box, but to be honest you will struggle a bit against the bigger name brands. These few mods will make it 100% better to drive i can guarantee you that and they will put your truggy on par with the best of them. 1, 2, 3 and 4 are the highest priority, then 5 (cause you cant race without a body), and if you want to get serious then 6.

I just priced all the gear i mentioned in the above post on A Main Hobbies and WITH the X5T hub extensions $36, the JR Z9100S servo (0.06/60degree, 180 oz/in @ 6V) $115, HPI 4x80mm turnbuckles $6, Traxxas 3x25mm countersunk screws $2.20, 7k, 10k and 1k Mugen diff oils $19, Proline Crowd Pleazer 2.0 Mugen MBX5T un-painted body and a full set of Proline LPR pre-mounted tyres $74. All up thats about $239 and if you use a coupon its $227 + whatever shipping is to get it to your place so like $270 max. That will give you a bad ass ST-1 that wont take any crap fron anything. Really the only areas you need to upgrade after that is engine and driving skill

These are the knocks that I adjust? Also, how long should I leave the ignitor in after I start the car...until it warms up (about how long is that) and do I drive it around slowly with it in at first?

It probably doesn't matter if your gonna spend all that to upgrade the truck, but if you buy the tires and rims separate, it's 4 dollars cheaper. But then you have to glue them, and some people don't like doing that.

nah and im soo cut i got a 4 day weekend for easter and i had to spend all today cleaning out the bloody garage cause my step-mom is a stupid b****. She wants to whinge and whine and complain about every stupid little thing like if i leave a screw on the ground where she has to walk (mind you this is in the garage on a weekend so she isnt going to be in there until the monday morning when she goes back to work, but she knows its there so if she wanted to walk in there she would stand on it and it makes the place look untidy too. CAUSE YOU WOULD STAND ON IT WHEN YOU KNOW ITS THERE WOULDNT YOU!!!) GOD i hate that woman. And so i had to clean up all of my rc gear which is 4 buggies 2 truggies a monster truck and an onroader so you can imagine the combined scatter of parts and stuff i have around the place, and she says 'right, now all this has to go someplace where i wont see it.... Can you believe that!! How the F*** am i supposed to work on anything when its all packed away. Yet she has her gardening and cooking and ugly ass stained wood crap laying around everywhere. Bloody double standards mole.
Sorry to write all that on here to you guys, im just quite annoyed as you might see and I needed to vent a bit, sorry. Some people just need to be shot at an early age

Ya ericem those are the ones I got, will see, I got my self in a little trouble last night had a few margeritas and was looking around on Amain and one thing led to another, man this stuff is like crack!!!![:@] next thing I know I am hitting the check out button for $700.00 for the ST-1[X(][X(][X(] and my wife is like[sm=punching.gif] ready to fight !!! so I was able to dodge most of the punches, I told her wait till she she's how sweet this thing is going to be and wam[sm=punching.gif] she got me good. anyone else have this problem

Hey Itchy the ace servo 1313 for $76 has as much torgue as the JR and works really well for steering and has great reveiws I just got the 1515 for steering and moveing the 1313 to throttle I will post a video to see how they all work, what kind of surface should I set the truck on for a steering demo vid.
