fikse.... i feel your pain man I bought a RTR Hyper and my left rear shock leaked like that brand new!!! i called Ofna and they said the same thing or they could send me a rebuild kit i chose the latter because I knew shipping would take forever. my point is I bought a RTR not a kit, so I should be ready to run and if not they should make it so. sorry to hear about your luck when you do finally get it running you are going to have a blast tho.

it sounds like its too lean on the low speed needle, what you described is when it starts it idles ok then as the fuel runs out it will high idle and shut off. i would try that , or does it idle then the carb open by itself when it idles. did you try it with the body off.

EricM, if ACE Hobbies would have told me when I reported the defective shocks under warranty that it would take 3+ weeks to replace them, then I could have made a different decision. Instead, I was told 24-48 hours and they would be shipped back to you. After wasting more time today leaving voicemails with their customer service group, still no call back. I even asked for the Manager and got his voicemail. It's unbelievable that I can't even get a call back and I have been polite and professional through all voicemails.

Anyone know if I can contact TT directly?

i guess its more like the carb opens by itself cuz the tank is full.. i turned it on at my house its really hard to turn on the only way it will is to move the servo like if im accelerating then putting it back.. it did the high rev then normal then hight then it turned off lol

Not sure, I think you need to call China or something, but that won't help XD Id just wait another week.

I suggest you reset to stock settings. It's probably the high speed needle and/or low speed needle. Stock settings are 2.5 turns out from bottom so turn the needle which is highest in the air in till it bottoms out don't force it, then turn it back out 2.5 turns. each turn is 360 degrees. Then try. I know with each ST-1 I have broken in, I had to have someone reving the motor a bit for a few minutes until it warmed up, then it would idle on it's own. Have someone giving it throttle like 10% throttle, while you start it, be sure not to pull the pullstarter to far or it is very likely to break. Make sure it is primed as well, when you notice it gets very hard to pull, loosen the glow plug then pull the pullstart a few times, then retighten. After you see the fuel has gone through the fuel line, and is going in the carb, pull it 2 more times while the exhaust is covered so the fuel is primed just enough to get into the engine block. Then put your ignitor on, have someone giving it throttle, then give it a pull should turn on.

Idles really high right. There is a needle on the side of the carb, you will see the smaller one which is idle, and the large one right beside it which is the low speed needle. Try turning it out a bit until it starts to idle fine. If that doesn't make any difference, turn the needle facing into the air sittings in a copper piece out a bit as well until idle goes normal. If the wheels are only turning 3/4 of the way might be your battery. Are you using a 5 Cell NIMH pack or AA's.

ohh sorry LOL......... Ok went to the LHS today w/ my friend from NJ and he picked up a miro-t wile i got 4 glow pugs and a gal. of 20%. we put 2 more tanks threw the ST-1 and i think i might get the 2 speed. the one speed is fast but this motor is just begging for more. the 2 speed will prob. only be temporary as I will use it to put his t-maxx 3.3 w/ a resonator and motor saver airfilter into the ground. And just a quick ? i have a motor saver air filter from my t-maxx and was wondering if it will be any better then the stock one???

no i wouldnt bother i see no need to replace it, i like the 2 stage filter that comes with the tt . just make sure you oil the inside filter and not the outside.

Same, its a waste foam is the best. It will make no difference.

Not sure if you should do the 2 speed. I would try a TT 2035 pipe and gear it higher. 2speed is going to cost your about $100! Problem is with that you get the added maintenance since there is a added clutch and one way bearing, AND it also puts more wear on the drivetrain and you loosen handling. You could just get a Mach 427 from ebay for $100 and a vented 12T bell for $12 and trust me it will be FAST. Actually the stock TT .28 with the 2035 pipe and 15T bell is pretty close to the Mach 427 running the stock pipe and 15T bell.
