I see that hpi has come out with the hellfire ss is this a better buy than a jammin or kyosho also does anyone know the price ps has anyone purchased the mutilator from ofna trying to get the most bang for my buck.

IMO, the Hellfire has a bit to go before being in the same category as the Jammin and the Kyosho (ST-R). The SS provides some upgrades but these do not help the issues I experienced.
The problem is not durability, but handling. Trying to find a really good set-up that works is difficult. Even trying pro set-up sheets as a starting point does not result in good handling characteristics.
I've not driven a Jammin, but a few of the local guys like it.
I have a couple of ST-Rs. Great truck, easy to drive, easy to tune the suspension. Just great.
