just a heads up guys,
I just got my pro kit crt.5 from tower today
the new pro kit's are being labeled CRT.5 PRO-E, extended chassis to accomadate full sized servos
you don't have to buy the RTR to get the extended chassis
great stuff, I just hope the mini servo I ordered will work!

just opened the box, the car comes with the extended chassis kit, and the regular chassis
so if you get one now, you get a regular car, with the extended chassis kit included!

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy
it's the kit without the engine, I plan on building this one brushless
ofna part# 34970 (I think it's the same as the old one)
there is a small white sticker on the box about 2.5" square, with only black text on it stating the extended chassis being included
the boxes come sealed with a "ofna sealed" tape closing them, and mine had clearly been opened and resealed by ofna, so it must be a pretty new change
I got mine from tower

I just got the rtr jammin truggy, I never get tired of openning a new rc toy. Its a nice little truggy, and looks as though it will work out nicely to start.

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy
I need to buy a Rechargeable battery pack for a Jammin CRT.5.
I'm looking at 2:
[link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_24_686/products_id/18752]Stickman 1000mah[/link]
OR
[link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_221_224/products_id/16660]OFNA 800mah[/link]
I'm using the stock radio that came with the RTR and the Stickman battery warns you about the polarity with the Futaba receivers, should I be concerned about this?
Which one of these are better. If you have one that works out better, please recommend it.
Thanks

try teflon tape on the threads of the shock, I did that when my shocks on my maxx where leaking, and they have yet to leak after that, and its been a year now.

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy
I've seen this happen and is usually when the aluminum top and body aren't tight. They sometimes wiggle loose and cause a small gap between the plastic mount and aluminum cap. I don't like the design and when I switched to the CRT and DM-1 shocks the leak issues went away. I have tightened the top aluminum caps on the stock shocks with a pair of pliers and it seems to help, but eventually they leak again. The plastic, aluminum and rubber shock top design seem to be a weak point in the shocks. I wish someone made a one piece aluminum cap for the stock shocks...
