Default Losi eight T questions?

I am going to set up a 1/8 truggy for racing, (Losi eight T).

What would be some of your first picks on engines?

I also have alot of hitech 645MG servos already, would that be ok for steering? or will I need better?

thanks, Chas

ps. just moved this from the 1/8 buggy forum

That servo will be under powered.. Truggys need atleast 200 oz of torque for steering. I'd go with a 5955TG.

i work at a hobby shop. to be totally honest with you man, a 985 steering servo will just do fin. anything digital or programmable (such as the hitec 6965) have smaller and lower circuit boards witch are known to break. the 985 will do just fine. but you can go a little higher than that of course.

for an engine, STS motors, RB C6, or even the werks racing motors run very well. its just all you really comfortable with.

just my 2 cents.
