Default Team Associated Truggy

In the RC Car Action article 2007 roar fuel truck nationals it said the 1/8 truck Associated Truggy got 8th place but no pictures. Is this a typo?

There was a pic in another magazine. It was a Thunder Tiger ST pro with a extended BCE chassis.

I don't think they even ran it. Alot of the AE drivers were using Mugen, TTR, and Kyosho truggies.

must be because it look like R/C CAR Action could care less about the Associated Truggy. All they kept talking about is the new Jammin CRT x2

With reason, its the 2007 National Champion and its a prototype, its not the X2 anyway, its the CRT X1x

It was the X2. Not ready for us but it was. I guess you haven't seen that video of Jammin Jay Hasely being interviewed about the truggy. It looks really good.

I'm sure they would care, I'm sure there will be alot more buzz about the AE than the Jammin. The truggy either wasn't there or they weren't allowed to photograph it.

Jammin X2 is so much like the 8ight-t. Definitely correct about the AE or Jammin statement

Don't get me wrong, the X2 looks like a really sweet truck. I was just surprised that if Associated did try out a new truggy that it did not get any press.

Yep thats a ttr alright. Like I said in another post I think the new AE will be built off of the ST1 platform. The AE name will get better recognition than thunder tiger so Im thinkin the st1 will be the new AE truggy since AE is made by Thundeer Tiger and AE is so much more well known.

I would have assumed it would be based of the current RC8 Buggy.

Not all buggy designs work in truggy, look at the hot bodies LSP and buggy. The c-hubs are the same but a lot of the geomentry and a the shock angles are not. We will have to wait and see what they do.

It will be based off of the truggy. Was the Hellfire based off the HB buggy? No, it was a new design.

So what is the relation ship with AE and Thunder Tiger. Does AE have there own team that is idependent of Thunder Tiger or are they basically the same company.

The RC8 does not look like any of the Thunder Tiger buggies.

Maybe the HellFire should have been based off the buggy...

AE and thunder Tiger are more separate than most people might think. AE will design whatever they want just because they are AE while TTR will do all the dirty work and get the funds. (IMO)

TTR own 100% of AE, TTR are a massive company that own quite a few other rc companies as well. Im sure Jaguar cannot go out and start designing new stuff without Fords blessing, AE I'm certain would need TTR's approval as well.

Coopz is 100% right. Thunder Tiger ownes Team Associated. They bought them not too long ago and have been building the monster gt for AE ever since it came out. Thunder Tiger is huge in australia and england so Thunder Tiger needed a good US based company.

I think when AE does or if they come out with a new truggy, it'll be bas a** just like all the their offroad cars have been.

I agree their 1/10th scale off-road stuff is awesome. I can't afford their 1/8th scale buggy.... LOL

Will it be a rebadged TTR like the MGT or will it be a new design like the RC8.

I guess we will have to see. TTr has a great truggy but the name I think is why its not catching on so quick.
