If I was in the market for a new radio I'd have to take a hard look at all of the new 2.4gHz spread spectrum types. It's hard to ignore a radio that doesn't run the risk of interference! Right now, based on all I've read, I'd most likely choose Futaba's 3PM 2.4gHx FAAST radio. I'd love to have the 3PK 2.4gHz, but it's just too much $$.

I'm using the Spektrum DX 3.0. Kinda wish I would have saved my money for the Futaba 3Pk with the FASST system. I've had a couple of small issues with the Spektrum but it's still a good set up.

I have 3 Spektrum DX 2.0 radios and love them. 2.4khz spread spectrum for around $145 ea... can't beat the price from Ultimate Hobbies.

Now I was just reading up on the DX2.0's and they have no crystals. so does this mean i will have to buy 2 more if I want a 2.0 in most of my rc's? And also how are the servos that come with it??? Thanks!

no you just buy another reciever for your other car which will cost like $60-$90
so all you need to carry around is one radio

that is what racers use
they get one really good radio and buy recievers for all their cars

I have a spectrum and the remote and reciever are great plus I love the short antennas, but I don't care for the servos a whole lot. I mean there all right, but if you the money I would defenetly consider getting better ones

The Spektrum servos are fine depending on the application. For electric the 590 is fine for steering while for nitro its a fine throttle / brake servo. I'm using the 270 as a TB servo in my CRT.5s and it's holding up so far... no complaints. I'm using a JR 9100 for steering in my 8ight T with the 590 as TB. Once the snow/ice clears I'll see how it goes, but the 590 TB never let me down in my 8ight B.

I run a NOMADIO controller. They are nice, 2.4khz and have onboard telemetry.

the dx3 comes with 2 recievers and holds 14 models memory, i think, maybe 10. well worth the difference in price. i have the dx2, it only holds 2 models, which is fine for now, 2 is plenty $$$ so far.

I'll soon be running the Futaba 3PM 2.4ghz radio. I have to wait 'till Christmas...anyway..If I had the money, I would probably get the Futaba 3PK/4PK or Airtronics M11. I freaking love them both..I was about to get one, but I found the 3PM 2.4ghz. It's just too expensive for a pro radio like that. I mean, the 3PM has plenty of features for racing. I don't really need more.
