Default fuel tubing?

does the length of fuel tubing have an effect on a truggy performance wise? i got my truggy with almost a foot of fuel tubing from tank to carb, should i cut it and rerun the tubing?

The only thing that it helps with having long fuel line is in a roll over. It will stay running longer on its lid then with a shorter tube. If you got a primer bulb you can cut shorter because of the extra fuel in the bulb. So no it does not hurt performance. Just helps in roll overs.

You know what I shortened my fuel line to only 2 inches on my ST-1 and test ran it today, even when it flips it ran didn't rev lean!! Ran so perfect NEVER seen this truck so perfect with the mach 427. Maybe my fuel line had a air leak? Still runs fine! !

I know the return line can effect performance. Not sure if the fuel line can, all I know is its a real pain to prime a long line.

Eric I have the sportwerks V2 in my st1 and its a rocket for sure. I like this setup very much. I also just bought a Axail 28 and just got it brok in. This is also a beast. Very much like the V2/427 but better bottom end. Now I just need to figure out which one Im going to race and which one for backup.

Are you running a 15T bell? I am with a mach 427 with 15T bell and it is VERY fast off the line and still catches redline way to fast. I plan on going to a 16T. The axial .28 is .10hp faster and has much better torque.

I am still running stock pipe as well! Clutch is cool as well! Stock clutch just 1.0mm springs.

thanks guys, what about the position of the fuel line, if i just used a 4 inch long line and run it straight from tank to carb, would it cause more fuel draw into the carb due to acceleration?

just get an losi 8ight fuel tank when it flips the fuel tubing is flexable with a fuel filter at the end inside the tank so it always drops to what is the bottom of the tank and will never stall upside down unless ur out of fuel

I've heard that keeping your tubing from the top of tank to the exhuast helps keep a consistent pressure in the tank.

And i've heard people use a long fuel line so when they flip they have extra fuel to keep it running..but who cares when you a nicly designed tank that eliminates that need
