Himoto and redcat are good trucks but for the money you cant beat teh TTr ST1. Awsome truck and solid as a rock.

The himoto truggy is supposed to be real good. I have not seen one personally, only pics and I like the look of it. Some guys here run it and are very happy with it.

I have owned a himoto cyclone foe about three years and can still say that for the money, you CAN NOT beat this line of cars. They are not high end machines, but they are fun rides and you get the piece of mind of knowing that when you do break it you didn't just trash your new 700 dollar car. I have several high end RC's and still say that the .18 engine in my Cyclone is the easiest to tune out of all of them. And with the number of distributers these days ou will be able to get parts from just about anywhere! One important thing to remember is that whether they are being called Himotos or redcats or whatever... they are all made by the same company overseas. I used to argue with somebody at redcat because they didn't want to admit that they were selling Himotos. They would try and tell me that they didn't carry Himoto parts and I'd say "yeah you do... you just call em redcat, Now send me the parts!" LOL

Just in case you dont know, they are practically giving these away on Ebay. You can pick up the nitro 1/10th scale models for less than 200 and you get a free tarter kit!

Check out the Himoto support forum here on RCU. Watch for any posts by someone calling himself Ehroof. When you read his posts you can believe you are reading truth! He's a good guy and he knows what he's talkin about. He has been my "go to guy" for a long time now when I am having an RC related problem. I even think that he may be a distributor.

I would like to keep cost under 300 bills. The ST-1 is definately an option for us, but as J-boy said, they are practically giving the himoto's away. At those prices i feel i should atleast consider the Himoto....

He is talking about the 1/10 scale and not the 1/8. Those are I think about 150 or so more.

Well the way I am is I have to like the way something looks first in order for me to even consider it. I like to have stuff out of the norm and be different. What I like about the Himoto is that is has pivot ball suspension and the way everything is laid out compared to some other truggies on the same price range. All the aluminum looks pretty strong. It just does not look like a truggy that should be priced that cheap. They also have alot of hop ups and have not heard anyone have a valid reason (besides it being a himoto) to justify it as junk. Yes the Thunder tiger is a great price and people seem to love it but like I said, for me first and foremost it looks ugly IMO and the tires seem a little skinny with the chrome wheels that flake off, no wing or mount, and it is a shorter wheelbase truggy. JMO but like I said everybody who has one (thunder tiger) loves it.

Eveything from the fuel tank on forward and the motor mounts on rearward LOL! Just think it all looks weird to me. Everybody has there own taste so if you guys like it thats all that matters. I also think the Jammin CRT is butt ugly but everyone says its tough as nails, I do not like the shock towers, a-arms, and wide old school chassis. Now the new Jammin truggy (when it comes out) is a different story. That looks cool to me so far.
