RE: 22 stiches thanks to 2 cars hitting me!
When i was still living in France , on our local on road track i was running a serpent 1/10 impulse and a guy came out from the pit as i was coming full speed (around 55/60 mph) ,i tried to avoid him and doing so sent me directly taking off as i touched the inside of a turn and the car flyed all the way to the tables in the pit mecanic area ,poor Club Chairman was standing there and got hit in the knee by my car ,result was a broken knee and two month without walking ,needless to say that the idiot who came out from the pit without watching got banned out of the club for the rest of the season ...

A guy at our track was fliping cars at the big double 30ft jump. He went to flip a car over that was between the double. As he stood up someone hit the double and the truggy hit the guy smack in the face, cut his face wide open almost 40 stiches, and almost lost his ear.
Was a bad day at the track,

RE: 22 stiches thanks to 2 cars hitting me!
I've taken monster trucks full speed into my legs, no fun at all, hurts like hell, but only bled a little bit.
I've taken several 1/10 scale trucks into my upper body/head at race speeds, no blood.
I've had a head on collision with 2 buggies and 1 truggy, head to head, little to no blood, but I thought Mike Tyson just punched me in the head or something.
Haven't broken any bones, shed a little blood, no stitches, etc.
I've always said I'd rather be lucky than good, any day of the week.
I always wear gloves when marshalling.
I think that is the only reason I still have all my fingers attached......
Sorry to hear about your injury.
Scott

Sorry to hear about your injury Nordy.
I've had too many close calls from getting hit with all sorts of land rc's (except 1/5ths). I did get hit one time in the foot with a 1/10th onroad car going near full speed. Toe blead just a tad, torn a thin layer of skin off but thats it, it was all better in about a week. Thats the worst thats happened to me yet.

the 1st race i ever did i was marshaling by this big double dounle section that puts cars about 5-6 feet in the air. it had this little dog leg thing in front of it. I was out the outside of the dog leg about 5 feet off the track, and just barely got out of the way of a truggy flying at my head at full clip. no fun.

Count yourselves lucky you don't run one of these buggies... It's not as fast as an 8T, but at 26lb it will happily relieve you of one of your feet if it hits you at 35mph. The white monster beetle can hit 45mph with a good run.

It's the new 4wd Smartech Thunderbolt, but that's a discussion for the large scale forum. I didn't mean to start something here. Sorry guys. The car is not available yet (in a few days), I have one for review, which should be up on RCU magazine VERY soon. It's a good car, but lacks power out of the box, forgivable, since it's one of very few 4wd 1/5th scale cars. But, like I say, lets not discuss this in the truggy forum, if anyone has any other questions, please feel absolutely free to PM me.
