Did anyobdy notice in that link for break in that they said to run 2 to 3 mins at
a time up to temperature and then shut it off and it let it cool roughly 5 or 6 times
NOT TANKS and then it's broke in ????

Just wondering because a lot of the posts on here talk about 4, 5 or 6 TANKS
and then tune.

I've ran it 4 times (2 to 3 minutes each) and just came to the end of one tank
at factory settings.
yes so you just got through 1 tank after 4 reps, keep going until you reach 10 or so reps however many tanks that is, and the tanks will last longer as you should be leaning it little by little to keep from 4-cycling...

I've just realised that where I had marked BDC on my flywheel was not BDC, it was about half way up. I've put about 15-20 tanks through now. I guess I have shortened the life of my engine dramatically?

ok, still I'm so annoyed! I meticulously restored this Hellfire, making sure everything was perfect before I broke it in, I'm sure I made a correct mark on the flywheel to mark BDC, is it possible that the flywheel has been very slightly slipping?

I'm going to strip it all apart and check the diffs etc so I'll make sure its all tight as it should be...

If the flywheel moves, you don't have the nut tight enough.

Integra, what is that?
Any pics ?
sure....its a homemade version with RD parts...but it does the trick and dosent need a table to bolt onto like the Hudy/Nanda/Rd version...this is what ALL my race mills get put on for at least 4-5 tanks and come off almost Race ready...minus some small tuning.

Also the RD and possibly the nanda nose cones will allow a filter...the Hudy prop is cut soooo close to the carb it wont allow a filter...and imo thats rediculous.

I like your stand..I have 4 new motors and I was not looking foward to breaking them in with them in the car..I have enough parts to do it..just a few questions on the how to's when using a stand..are you using the heat cycle method..throttle settings..etc..lol..
