St1 Cant Turn
Hi guys i recently just added a hi-tech 5645mg servo in my ttr st1. I bought the diff oil but hav not yet put it in. I was at the track today hanging out and driving my st1. A guy there helped me set my servo up after i told him i wasnt sure how to do it. Well i started driving it and could not just get into the corner, the servo puts enough torque out everyone said. But i mean it would just make big wide turns and i could not get into them[:@]. It feels like the stock servo agian. Can anyone help, should i do the saxton mod? Idk im confused it should have made a difference.[:@][:@][:@]

RE: Cant Turn
why tighter? Isnt loose better. and that is the thing with the spring right by the servo, that you adjust by screw, just double checking.

Tighten that servo saver at least halfway up. It will turn with little force from the wheels if it's not tightened properly and you will lose most of your steering.

Did you set your end points for your steering lmao. Do you have the stock radio? There is a wheel you turn near throttle to make it steer more tight.

RE: St1 Cant Turn
you need to have a tighter servo saver because if you don't it doesn't translate the torque from the servo to the wheels it just kinda slips...i guess the best way to describe the effects would be like a slipper clutch if you loosen it up the car takes longer to accelrate hard or it might not even reach top speeds because the slipper is too loose now tighten it and the peformance for both accel and top end are increased...same difference with servo saver..checking that and epa's will go a long way but diff oils are a must and according to st-1 drivers the steering mod as well

i tightened my servo saver and now the steering will not turn, i think i over tightened it and now its stuck[:'(]. the servo saver is the thing where you tigtened the srew, and there a spring under it.. right... where the akerman plate sits on???I did the mod today and filled front and rear diffs, here is the link http://www.truggyracers.com/forum/in...howtopic=17753

from tower
SPECS: Speed: 0.23 sec/60° at 4.8V
Speed: 0.18 sec/60° at 6.0V
Torque: 143.03 oz-in at 4.8V
Torque: 164.2 oz-in at 6V
from a-main
Specifications:
Transit time: 0.23 sec/ 60 deg. @ 4.8V (0.18 sec/deg @ 6V)
Torque: 143.0 oz/in @ 4.8V (168.0 oz/in @ 6V)
they can be optimistic with their ratings at times, but make sure you're feeding it as much voltage as you can

RE: St1 Cant Turn
no but if i plug my battery in ch1 or 2 were is my servo pluggoing then? I basically took this whole truggy apart by doing the diffs and steering mod. The diffs were easy. So i think i know the ins and outs no coment though lol
