My neighbour has the Mutilator and he keeps up well with my Losi 8T on our track, great truck for bashing as I even considered it for a spare when my Losi is down.

The knuckles are famous for breaking with ease and so are the driveshafts, I would buy these as immediate spares or upgrade to aluminum ones for $30 when you buy. The .32 is a great torquey engine and has lots of grunt, I have the same engine in my Ofna Violator.

Although for around $400, I would probably buy the Thunder Tiger ST1 as most on here rave about them, I think my backup Truggy will become an ST1 next month.

Good luck!

TT ST1 is considered a top rate Truggy especially on here, i went for the 8T so I could consider racing one day. ST1 looks great but parts are tough where i live in Central Florida and it's only mail order.

IMO the Mutilator is a much older designed truggy. Yes the new one has longer arms on it but still a older design. My friend has one and it is fun to drive and the motor has a bunch of torque but I think comes up a little short on the suspension which is a kingpin design and small shocks. Nobody really has anything bad to say about the thunder tiger which is a solid truck but lately has been said about parts not being made anymore so do your research on that one to make sure. You could try the Caster Racing K8T RTR. It is perfect for bashing with the RTR tires it comes with they are big and wide better suited for bashing. Put Proline's on it and go racing in second. Shock towers are 5mm thick and all other aluminum are CNC machined aluminum and not pressed like on the Mutilator which makes it alot stronger and no C-hub knuckles to break. They run right at $450 at [link=http://holeshothobbies.com]Holeshot Hobbies[/link]

yeah uhh if you noticed i specialize in st's and monster trucks.i know that there good for bashing and truggies are mainly for racing but i'm just trying to expand my interest in rc and bring some fun.plus there is a local track 10 minutes from me so race is not an issue it's just that i don't want to get into that.

ok
but is it correct to say that monster truck is weak compared to a truggy? because when ppl mention truggy usually race is in that same sentence

monster trucks are known for there 4-6 mm aluminum chassis and that whole deal thats all.i honestly think that truggies do a little better after hanging at my local track.i just want one for both racing and bashing.the TT ST1 sounds nice.how are the gs racing truggies?like the xut and sut?

no there not...

ST-1 is $299 in your cart - another $25 with coupon code. Don't need a wing either. They will come in stock there is just so much demand since each car they sell people buy the wing kit. Realistically they should have just included the wing and that was it like in the pro. Oh well. Anyway if you can find a strong good quality truck, that is well built for under $300 show me.

oh ya lol still not very crazy about those companies. They are seriously difficult to get parts. My hobby shop stocks ST-1 parts, and so does a-main.

Hehe Redcat=HSP=cheap. Himoto are another cheapy company. For bashing they are probably ok with some $$ thrown at their weak areas but for racing that will suffer. The only Monsson (or Searover) I've seen at our club looked very awkward in the cornering and over the rough parts.

I was wondering where you got your information? Do you have a quote from Thunder tiger? I am just wondering because I haven't heard anything official.
