Default Convert 14mm hex to 17mm Hex

I have a lighting Stadium Sport Truggy and I want to change out the wheel hex's to 17mm. I want to have a better option on wheels I can use for racing. I will be racing but I dont expect to win much at all. Just to have some fun. I am confused on this. I was thinking about using the traxxas 17mm adapters but I am not sure how it will work.

Will I have to change the stub axles as well?

Or will the 14mm wheels sufice and just get some better tires and wheels?

Someone please help I have the same truck and the same problem. The ofna adapters on a main for the t-maxx look like they would work but dont want to waste the money if they wont solve the problem. HELP!

A-Main has several of the 17mm hex adapters (from HPI, Hot Bodies, Ofna, etc.). Seems like any of those would work assuming the center hole is the correct diameter (matches your spindle OD). Call A-Main to find out the specs of each.

Or, this one would definitely work:
