Great Vigor
Hi all.
I have a GV truggy in for repair that has a clutch jambing. The customer ordered a replacment one which is the same as the OEM fitted. Its fitted to a Force3.5 engine has 3 shoes with 3 springs fitted to the shoe pins. No mater what way the springs are fitted, 2ways you cant close the shoes and the other ways its pushing the sho out to the drum, this is the way the book says, To me there is no way it going to be a clutch when its locked up all the time.
i was wondering if some has the same Truggy with the same clutch set up to see what Im doing wrong....

RE: Great Vigor
Pics, I thought they had loaded.
the spring is sitting the way it is in the shoe. the small end sort of sits in the groove in the nut causing it to push the shoe in to the drum. The other end protrudes out of the shoe and rubs in the drum. there are wear marks in the drum.

In the 2nd pic u can see the part of the spring near the center should be on the nut and bent clockwise. Not sure I explaind that right but looks like some oddly bent springs unless they are reall soft. On the springs I just looked at the shorter end is more perpendicular to the larger. yours is almost parallel. Id say wrong springs. Something aint right

RE: Great Vigor
Thanks Barry.
I got a new set of shoes with springs and they are the same type.
I got one of them on by twisting the spring over the crank nut, boy its bloody tight...Can only give it a try.
Thanks
