JLB 1:10 Cheetah brushless truggy mini review run!
Here is the first of a bunch of running videos, this is the maiden run, I have a ton of great footage with some huge jumps and crashes coming soon too!
Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iz7EKLxRbzc Check it out here: https://goo.gl/clztXO PT2 Maiden run impressions Maiden run of the fast Cheetah from JLB. This is a very well built truck, and its crazy fast, my radar gun had a best of 52mph, with a few 48 and 46mph runs. And it is tough, I had too much footage for one video, so there will be a couple more, besides its explosive power, its STRONG, I botched a number of jumps, one landing it inverted on top of a jump, nothing broke ever! Run times are great, I figure 18-20min how I drive, I do recommend two things, 1 adjust the wheelie bar down farther, it helps some on flipping over on wheelies. 2 Check the main gear mesh, mine had a tight spot, you can hear it in the video, it doesnt do that anymore. The esc is not waterproof, after hitting a couple puddles on accident it had moisture in it, but it does still work, I took it apart and cleaned it, and had to put some stronger tape under it. After run impressions: Very happy with this truck! I would recommend it. PLUS: - BIG! - Powerful - 3s lipo included - Great suspension - Well packaged - Great run time - FAST!! Radared at 52mph, with 48 and 46mph backup runs!! - Flexibility with the transmitter adjustments MINUS: - One led headlight didnt work on mine - Toe out on the steering, easy fix though - Not waterproof esc - Drive gear cover is not sealed well, so stuff gets in there, but it does have metal gears so not a huge issue - I had to adjust the gear mesh on the motor Main Features: 2.4GHz transmitter power ensures the strong anti-jamming capability. An awesome truggy for the run if asked .I got the Cheetah V2 Zombie and a Bison
|
And loving it.

I have recently become quite intrigued with the Cheetah, but I'm hesitant because I am not used to buying inexpensive rigs from the "lesser" Chinese manufacturers (no offense intended). I'm used to Tekno, Team Associated, Arrma, etc. However, they are SO expensive that I'm starting to look for better values. Is there any LONG-TERM evidence that the Cheetah can handle regular abuse and have the parts available for normal maintenance.

I hate to say it, and it's a shame RCU does not' get much use these days. RC Groups has a couple of really nice threads on Cheetah, Bison, Zombie, etc., etc., etc. All the super low budget RCs get attention over there ;).
